Joint Admission Test for M.Sc (JAM) is the national level exam for admission to M.Sc and other post-bachelor degree & dual degree programmes at IITs. IIT JAM Eligibility 2021 – Relaxed
IIT JAM 2021 Eligibility has been relaxed on aggregate marks. Candidates have to pass the qualifying exam only. Check other details from below.

General Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must check the eligibility before filling the IIT JAM 2021 application form.
- Nativity: Indian national as well as foreign national will be eligible for JAM.
- Qualifying Exam: Candidates applying for JAM must have bachelor’s degree as a qualifying examination degree.
- Minimum Marks: The qualifying examination must be passed with minimum 55% aggregate marks or 5.5 out of 10 (in all subjects including Languages and Subsidiaries, all years combined) without rounding off.
- Candidates belonging from SC/ST category will require to obtain at least 50% aggregate marks or 5.0 out of 10 without rounding off.
- In case of grading system/CGPA, the equivalence in percentage of marks will be decided by the Admitting Institute.
- Candidates who will be pursuing the qualifying examination have to submit the proof of passing the qualifying examination to the admitted institute by 30th September 2021.
- There will be no restriction in the upper age limit for JAM.
Note: Eligibility has been relaxed (for 2021 session only), candidates must have to pass qualifying exam only.
