NSD Admission Procedure 2021, Selection, Audition & Final Workshop

NSD 2021 Admission Procedure will be released for Delhi campus. The National School of Drama is a theatre training institution in India. It offers the 3 years of training in theatre and allied arts. The NSD admission process will be conducted by the National School of Drama, New Delhi. The school conducts the Preliminary Test/ Audition and Final Workshop for admission. It will be compulsory to appear in all rounds organized by the NSD. NSD Admission Procedure 2021

On the basis of written test, the candidates will be shortlisted for the next round of selection. The university will provide the admission by conducting the three rounds for selection of candidates.

In the first round, candidates will have to clear the preliminary written examination and in the second round they will have to clear the workshop/audition round.

Candidates will be called for the workshop at NSD Delhi Campus. For workshop round, candidates will have to present in person at the designated centre. The candidates will be shortlisted for this round on their performance in the entrance examination.

NSD Admission Dates 2021

The selected candidates will have to report at the NSD campus for the final workshop round. It will be the last and final step towards admission to the university.

The workshop process will be commenced in first week of October 2021. The names of the selected candidates will be published on the university website after a few days of the declaration of result. The candidates will be selected on the merit bases prepared by the university.

NSD Admission 2021 Selection Procedure

At the time of interview candidates will have to produce the original documents/certificates. Candidates will be screened in two stages. In the first stage, i.e. preliminary interview, candidates will have to go through the audition of practical test which will be conducted in New Delhi and nine other centers.

The first stage will be based on written test. The test will be held in different exam centers all over the India. After written examination, candidates will have to attend workshop, in which candidates will be called for the interview round.

The committee will pass the candidates after this round of the final workshop round which will be held in the New Delhi campus. It will be comprised of 4-5 days of workshop. After selecting in both the rounds, candidates will have to pay the fee for getting admission. Candidates will have to pay the Rs. 150/– for admission fee.

The screening of candidates will be in two rounds. The preliminary screening will comprise of an audition or practical test and will be conducted in New Delhi with 9 other states. Candidates recommended by preliminary selection committee will have to go through a final round of selection in New Delhi. The final workshop will held in the first week of October 2021. In the final round, candidates will be called for the interview round.

It will be mandatory for all qualified candidates to participate in the counselling procedure. Candidates must carry all the required documents for verification to the centers.

Candidates will also have to participate in the physical fitness & medical test. It will be organized by the authority. The final admission to the candidates will be based on written test & workshop.
