Presidency University 2020 Application Form
For the applying candidates, Presidency University 2020 Application Form instructions are given below:
- The Application form for PUBDET 2020 has been released from 9th January 2020.
- The application process will end till 6th February 2020 for PUBDET 2020. Candidates must fill the application form within the given time period in order to successfully complete the application process.
- The application forms has been released through online mode only. Candidates can register themselves by filling the basic details.
- Candidates must fill their personal and educational details like marks, address, temporary address, etc. carefully and correctly in order to avoid rejection of form.
- Candidates have to upload photograph and signature in the specified format and size. After making payment, take printout of payment proof and application form.
- There is no need to send any document to the authority.
Application Fee:
- Candidates have to pay Rs.500 as application fee.
Mode of Payment: Candidates can pay fee via debit/credit card or net banking.
- Application fee is non-refundable.
- No other mode is available to submit application fee.
Presidency University 2020 Eligibility Criteria

For B.A/B.Sc Course:
- Nationality: Applying candidate must be citizen of India.
- Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed 12th level from a recognized Board/University.
- Marks Required: Minimum aggregate percentage varies for various categories and courses.
- Subjects: Candidate must have passed 12th level with at least 5 subjects including English.
- Domicile: For admission, West Bengal State Domicile is required in any reserved category seat. No need of domicile to appear for test.
- Age Limit: No maximum age limit is required to apply.
- Appearing: Candidates appearing for 12th level are also eligible.
For M.A/ M.Sc Course:
- Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc (Hons)/ B.A (Hons) from a recognized institute/university.
- Appearing: Candidates appearing in B.Sc (Hons)/ B.A (Hons) level are also eligible.
- Marks Required: Minimum aggregate percentage varies for various categories and courses.
- Age Limit: No maximum age limit is required to apply.
- Domicile: For admission, West Bengal State Domicile is required in any reserved category seat. No need of domicile to appear for test.
Presidency University 2020 Admission Procedure
The Admission Procedure of Presidency University will contain various stages like submission of application form, appearing for entrance test, qualifying the entrance test, publication of score/ rank list and appearing for counselling process.
Students are required to obtain qualifying marks in the entrance test in order to be eligible for admission. The result will be made available in the form of rank cards or scorecards. Students will be shortlisted basis of released result.
Final selection will be done based on marks /rank secured by the candidates in the entrance test. Counselling will be held for admission of the candidates into various courses.
Presidency University 2020 Entrance Exam
Before the commencement of entrance test, admit card will be released online in March 2020 for PUBDET 2020. Candidates will be able to download e-admit card by entering the login credentials. The exam for PUBDET will be conducted 11th & 12th April 2020 and on 21st June 2020 for PUMDET 2020 through offline mode.
The question paper will contain multiple-choice questions for the test. The exam will consist of 50 questions for each subject with the time duration of 90 minutes. The paper will be of total 100 marks. Candidates will get 2 marks for each right answer and -1/2 marks for every wrong answer.
Presidency University 2020 Result
Presidency University 2020 Result will be published online after the completion of entrance test. It will be released by the University in the second week of July 2020. Candidates can check their result by entering their registration number and password.
Candidates through rank and score of entrance test will be able to apply for admission in the University. If any candidate will have any problem regarding the rank and score, such candidates can contact to the authority. Candidates are advised to take print out of the result for further admission process.
The university will not release any score/ rank list. Candidates will be called for counselling based on the results. If any candidate will not fulfill the admission criteria, seats of such candidates will be allocated to the next candidate.
Presidency University 2020 Counselling
Presidency University 2020 Counselling will start in the third week of July 2020 for UG courses and from fourth week of July 2020 for PG courses. Candidates will be able to participate in the process of counselling by online mode at the allotted venues. Seats will be allocated to the eligible candidates based on marks secured in the test, eligibility clauses, documents, reservation policy and other factors.
Candidates have to carry their documents for the document verification of counselling / admission process. The documents required for the counselling process are listed below:
- 10th level Mark sheet
- 12th level Mark sheet
- Graduation degree (if any)
- Valid photo id proof
- Domicile certificate
- Caste certificate (if any)
- Migration certificate
- Character certificate
- Passport size photograph, etc.
Presidency University 2020 Admission
Admission will be offered to the candidates into BA / B.Sc through qualifying the test (PUBDET) and into MA/ M.Sc through PUMDET. Also, the University offers admission into Ph.D course based on national level score (UGC NET).
Counselling will be organized for final admission of candidates into UG and PG courses while for admission in Ph.D courses, interview rounds will be conducted.
