Aadhaar Card for JEE Main 2019, Clarification, FAQ’s, Requirements

NTA 2019JEE Main is a national level entrance exam conducts for admission into B.Tech & B.Arch Programme. These programmes is offered by NITs, IIITs and other engineering institutions all over the country. JEE Main 2019 is organized by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The board will organize the JEE Main 2019 exam via online mode. Application form is available from 1st September 2018. The MHRD (Ministry of Human Resource Development), Government of India has notified changes in the JEE Main exam. From 2017, Aadhaar Card is mandatory for registration.

JEE Main Clarification regarding Aadhaar Card

It had observed that many applicants are facing problem in filling the aadhaar card details. Keeping this in mind, here we are listing some FAQs regarding the aadhar card clarification in JEE Main 2019:

Answer: It is not mandatory to apply with Aadhaar Card. Candidates can use Passport number, Ration Card number, Bank Account number or any other valid Government identity number.

Answer: Candidates who have passed or appearing in Class XII examination from the states of J&K, Assam & Meghalaya need to enter the passport number, ration card number, bank account number or any other valid Govt. identity number provided they should select the city of examination in these states only.

Requirement of Aadhaar Card

Aadhaar number is only one of the types of identification and is not
mandatory to apply for JEE Main 2019. During the application form filling, candidates have to fill their ID Card Number, Name, Date of Birth & Gender and other required details.

If, the given details will not match, candidates will not be able to fill the JEE Main 2019 Application Form. Candidates are advised to ensure that their ID Card details have correct according to the school records.

Condition I:

Candidates who have not yet enrolled for Aadhaar, they are required to make application for Aadhaar enrollment. Such candidates may visit any Aadhaar enrollment centre or facilitation centre to get enrolled for Aadhaar.

The board has set up the facilitation centres in each examination city for the purpose of Aadhaar enrollment. No fee will be charged for Aadhaar enrollment.

Condition II:

Candidates, those have enrolled for Aadhaar & have not received Aadhaar should fill 14 digit Aadhaar Enrollment ID printed on the Aadhaar enrollment slip during form filling.

Condition III:

If an Aadhaar enrollment facility is not provided at the facilitation centres, candidates can submit a request for Aadhaar Enrollment.

The facilitation centre will provide a registration number to such candidates. Candidates filled the given registration number at the time of form filling.

Condition IV:

The above procedure will be applicable in all states except Assam, J & K and Meghalaya. Candidates, those have qualified or appearing in 10+2 examination from the above state need to fill their ration card number, passport number, bank account number or any other valid government identity number. They will select the examination city in these states only.
