Candidates will be able to check the JEE Main 2021 Result only through online mode. The result will be declared in the form of percentile (NTA Scores). Candidates Rank will be declared after the declaration of result for second session.

After the declaration of both sessions result, the rank will be announced. Candidates rank will be calculated by comparing both the attempts. NTA has not provide the result through any offline method.

The NTA Score of JEE Main 2021 February exam will be released in the month March 2021. This score comprise of the actual marks obtained in Paper-I of all subjects. The result will be provided in the form of percentile.

The score & rank obtained by the candidate will be used for counseling & eligibility for JEE Advanced exam.

Rank will comprise of All India Rank and All India Category Rank. The authority will not dispatch the rank card to any candidates. Candidates will have to download it through the website.

JEE Main 2021 Cut Off & rank will be released through online mode. The NTA will release the cut-off through the website.

JEE Main 2021 Normalization Score

The Normalization process is an established practice for comparing candidate scores across multi session papers and is similar to those being adopted in other large educational selection tests conducted in India.
For normalization across sections, NTA is using the percentile equivalence. The percentile can be calculated as:

JEE Main 2021 Result Date

JEE Main exam has been conducted from 23rd to 26th February 2021. The exam is held through online mode only.

After the examination, JEE Main Result 2021 for February exam will be released on 7th March 2021.

Rank scored by the candidates will be declared after the announcement of result of both sessions. A normalization process will be adopted to calculate percentile.

JEE Main 2021 Counselling will be started from June. July 2021. Students will be able to participate in the counselling process according to the JEE Main ranks. For counselling best of the two attempts of January & September exam will be considered.

JEE Main 2021

JEE Main 2021 is organized by the National Testing Agency (NTA). It is organized multiple times in a one year on a national level. It is conducted to offer admission into B.E, B.Tech, B.Plan and B.Arch programmes. Candidates can get admission in various renowned institutions like IIT’s, CFTI’s, NIT’s etc. It will be conducted four times i.e February, March, April & May 2021.

The cut-off will be released after the declaration of result for both sessions. JEE Main cut-off depends upon various factors like students appeared in the exam, difficulty level, etc. Cut-off will be released category wise. Below we have mentioned the expected cut-off for the JEE Main exam:

How to check JEE Main Result

Here we have listed some simple steps to check the result:

  • A new page will be opened on the screen.
  • Enter the mandatory details such as Application Number, Date of Birth & Security Code.

  • After filling the details, click on the “Login” button.
  • The result will be displayed on the screen.
  • Check the result and take printout of it.

  • Candidates are suggested to take some extra printouts of the result for further admission process.

JEE Main Score Card Details

Following details are printed on the JEE Main Result/ Score Card:

  • Name of the Candidate
  • Roll Number
  • Date of Birth
  • Father’s & Mother’s Name
  • Category & Sub-Category
  • Nationality
  • State Code of Eligibility
  • Marks Secured in each subject, i.e. Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics
  • Total marks obtained by the candidate
  • Percentile

JEE Main Rank List 2021

JEE Main Rank will be declared after the announcement of result. The rank will be prepared as per the percentile obtained in both attempts of JEE Main. AIR rank will be considered for admission through CSAB or JoSAA & other admission authority to NITs/IIITs/CFTIs/SFIs/Others.

If candidates appears for both exams, the highest percentile will be considered for ranking. Tie breaking rules will be applied in case of candidates scores equal percentile in the JEE Main exam. The tie breaking criteria is mentioned below:

Tie breaking rules for preparing merit list are listed below:

  • Higher percentile in Mathematics subject is considered for a better rank.
  • Higher percentile in Physics subject is given better rank.
  • Higher percentile scored in Chemistry subject is allotted better rank.
  • Candidate older in age will be preferred.

Compilation & Display of Result for Multi Session Papers

The JEE Main examination is conducted in two attempts. Procedure of compilation & display of result is mentioned below:

Compilation of Result (1st Attempt):

The first attempt has been conducted in multi-sessions, NTA scores are calculated corresponding to the raw marks obtained by a candidate in each session. The calculated NTA scores for all the sessions will be merged for the announcement of result. The result comprise the four NTA scores for each of the three subjects (Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry) and the total for the first attempt.

Compilation of Result (2nd Attempt):

The second attempt will be also conducted in multi-sessions, NTA scores will be calculated corresponding to the raw marks obtained by a candidate in each session. The NTA scores for all the sessions will be merged for declaration of result. The result will contain the four NTA scores for each of the three subjects (Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry) and the total for the second attempt.

Compilation of Result & Preparation of Merit List / Ranking:

The four NTA scores for each of the candidates for the first attempt and second attempt will be merged for compilation of result and preparation of overall Merit List / Ranking. Those appeared in both the attempts; their best of the two NTA scores will be considered.

JEE Main Counselling 2021

On the basis of marks scored in the exam, students will be able to participate in the counselling process. Counselling will be done as per the rank secured by candidates. JEE Main counselling 2021 will be organized by the JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority) & CSAB (Central Seat Allocation Board).

Counselling process will be organized in different rounds. Counselling will be conducted through online mode only. It comprises of various steps like online registration, choice filling & locking, seat allotment, fee payment & seat acceptance and reporting to the allotted institution.
