NTA will release category wise score cut off marks online for JEE Main 2021 along or after the results declaration. The cut off marks for different categories will be calculated on the basis of difficulty of questions & NTA score obtained by the candidates who will appear in the exam. The official NTA cut off score to appear in the JEE Advanced 2021 will be released by the authority along with the result.
The authority will release cut-off marks through online mode. Candidates will be able to check the expected cut off from the below given table. The cut-off is the minimum marks required to appear in the JEE Advanced exam. Cut-off marks are different for different categories. Cut-off marks will depend upon several factors such as exam difficulty level and number of students appeared in the examination etc.
Candidate who score marks more than the cut off marks will be considered qualified in JEE Main 2021 and they can apply for JEE Advanced 2021 exam. Only qualified candidates will be eligible for admission.

JEE Main NTA Qualifying Marks
With the declaration of JEE Main 2021 result, NTA will also release the qualifying marks for the candidates appeared in JEE Main exam. The qualifying marks will be the cut off marks that the candidate must score in order to participate in the centralised counselling conducted by JOSAA.
The tentative qualifying marks for GEN category (common rank list) students is 89.75 for GEN (EWS category) is 78.21, for OBC-NCL is 74.31, for SC is 54, 44 for ST & 0.11371730 for PWD candidates.

How Cut Off Marks will be Calculated?
NTA will declare the cut off marks for the JEE Main 2021 examination. Here we have discussed how cut off is calculated and what are the factors taken into account while calculating the cut off marks. Some of these factors are listed below:
- Number of candidates appeared in the examination
- Difficulty level of the examination
- Number of questions asked in the examination
- The overall performance level of the candidates.
JEE Main Result 2021
JEE Main 2021 Result will be declared on 7th March 2021 (first session). For second, third & fourth session exam, it will be declared in March, April & May 2021 followed by the official NTA Cut-Off, rank (category-wise).
Candidates who will appear for JEE Main 2021 examination will be able to check their result. Aspirants can get their actual score and their result via online by entering their login credentials with the website. The result will be provided in the form of percentile.
To check result, candidates will have to visit the online link of JEE Main result and enter their application number and date of birth in the specified space. After pressing the submit button, students will get their result. One should retain minimum 2-3 copies of his/ her result for further use in admission procedure.
JEE Main Counselling 2021
On the basis of the rank list, the counselling procedure will get started. JEE Main 2021 Counselling will be scheduled after the releasing of JEE Advanced AIR and JEE rank list. The counselling procedure will be started from June/ July 2021. The Counselling will comprise in some simple steps like:
- Registration
- Choice Filling & Locking
- Seat Acceptance
- Pay Fee
- Document Verification (Personal at allotted college)
Admission Process:
Admission process will be conducted offline at the institute where the candidates will be allotted the seats. Candidates will have to take the seat allotment letter (given by the counselling authority) to the allotted college. Document verification and admission fee payment will be done in allotted institution premises.
Candidates will have to pay their admission & course fee. After document check and remitting fee, candidates will get their admission ticket/ letter to continue their classes.
JEE Main 2021 Rank List
After the result declaration, the authority will release All India Rank (AIR) and category rank. The AIR is considered by the respective counselling authorities for admissions in NITs, IIITs and other government and private institutions.
The best of two NTA scores/ percentile will be considered while preparing the rank list. On the basis of marks obtained in the JEE Main exam, a merit list will be prepared for admission in engineering & architecture courses. The merit list will be drawn separately for each category.
