Thapar University 2020 Counselling
Thapar University counselling process will be organized after the results declaration and release of merit list. The counselling process will be conducted through offline mode. Candidates must check the complete details of counseling process from the University portal.
Only those candidates will be called for the counselling process who will successfully obtain the minimum qualifying marks in the written test. At the time of counselling, candidates must be present at the allotted venue within the time period prescribed.

Thapar University 2020 Merit List
After the declaration of Thapar University 2020 Results, the University will release merit list on the website. The merit list contains names of the candidates who have successfully qualified the written test with the minimum qualifying marks.
The University will publish the merit list on the website in May 2020. Candidates whose name will successfully appear in the merit list will be eligible to participate in the counselling process.
Thapar University 2020 Counselling Procedure
The counselling process of Thapar University 2020 will be started for LEET from second week of July 2020 and ME/M.Tech from second week of July 2020. For the candidates applying admission through National level entrance scores, the counselling process will be organized for them separately.
The counselling process will be held through offline mode for various programmes. Candidates at the time of counselling process will be allotted seats and their documents will be verified. Seat will be allocated on the basis of course preference and merit order. In case any seat remains vacant the seat will be offered to the candidate as per the merit order.
During counselling process, candidates must be present with all the necessary documents for document verification. Candidates must bring their original as well as photocopies of their documents/testimonials. The documents to be brought during the counselling process will be:

- 12th Mark sheet and Pass certificate
- Admit card of entrance exam
- Rank card
- Scorecard
- Category certificate
