Calcutta University 2020 Application Form
Candidates must go through following details related Calcutta University 2020 application form:
- Calcutta University 2020 application form will be made available via online mode.
- Candidates will be able to fill the application form in the month of May-June 2020.
- The last date to submit the application form will be till July 2020.
- Candidates are advised to also go through its eligibility norms before applying for the entrance exam.
- Candidates will have to fill their name, date of birth, email address, and all required personal & academic details in the application form.
- Incomplete or incorrect application form will not be accepted so candidates must fill the form carefully & completely.
- While filling the application form, candidates will also have to upload passport size photograph & signature in the prescribed format.

Application Fee:
The application fee for UG & PG courses is mentioned below:
For UG Course:
- General category candidates will have to submit Rs.100.
- For SC/ ST/ OBC/ BPL/ PwD category, application fee will be of Rs.25.
- Candidates will be able to submit the application fee through online as well as offline mode.
- The online mode includes credit card, debit card or net-banking.
- For offline mode, SBI challan method will be used.
For PG Course:
- General category candidates will have to submit Rs.200.
- SC/ ST/ PwD category candidates will have to submit Rs.100.
- For BA LLB, general candidates have to submit 500 & reserved category candidates have to submit Rs.250 as fee.
- The application fee will be paid through Bill Desk Gateway.
Calcutta University 2020 Eligibility Criteria
Here we are providing details regarding Calcutta University 2020 eligibility criteria:
For UG Courses:
- Qualification: Candidates must qualify Intermediate or equivalent examination from a recognized board or university.
- Percentage: Candidates must score minimum 50% marks in the qualifying exam (45% for SC/ ST category).
- Scores: For Tech admission, WBJEE rank will be considered.
For PG Course:
- Qualification: Candidates must qualify Graduation (B.Sc. Hons.) or equivalent examination to be eligible for examination.
- Percentage: Candidates will have to qualify with minimum 45% marks in the qualifying exam (40% for reserved category candidates).
Calcutta University 2020 Exam Pattern
The examination for PG courses will be conducted in online (computer based) mode. Students will get 1 hour to complete the exam. Total 50 multiple choice type questions will be asked in the paper. 2 marks will be allotted for each right answer. 0.5 marks will get deducted for each incorrect answer.
For UG courses, no entrance test will be held so candidates will be selected based on qualifying marks. WBJEE scores will be considered for B.Tech admission.
Calcutta University 2020 Admission Procedure
Calcutta University 2020 Admission Procedure consists of filling application, appearing for the test, qualifying the exam & counselling process. However, there will be no entrance test in case of UG admission.
Candidates will be given the admission into UG & PG level courses at Calcutta University according to marks obtained in entrance exam. Candidates seeking admission into B.Tech course have to apply through WBJEE scores.
Calcutta University 2020 Entrance Exam
The University of Calcutta will be conducting the Calcutta University Entrance Exam for admission into Postgraduate (PG) level courses. The entrance exam for various courses will be held on different dates. The exam will be held through online mode.
At UG level admission to B.A, B.Sc., & B.Com program will be based on marks scored in the qualifying exam. At PG level admission to M.A, M.Com and other courses will be based on marks secured in the entrance test conducted by the University.
Calcutta University 2020 Merit List/ Result
Calcutta university 2020 Merit list will get released in the last week of July 2020. Candidates will be able to check their result or merit scores through online mode. The admission will be given to candidates on the basis of merit list.
To check the result, candidates will have to login by using their user id & password. The admission will be given to candidates after the verification of documents. Candidate’s admission will get cancelled if they fail to verify their documents at the time of counselling.
Calcutta University 2020 Counselling
Calcutta University 2020 Counselling will get commenced in the month of August 2020. It will be mandatory for all qualified candidates to participate in the counselling procedure. The qualified candidates will have to present at the counselling which will be notified after the result declaration.
