JNU Admission 2021: Application Form, Eligibility, Exam Pattern, Dates

JNUEE 2021JNU Admission 2021 will be commenced from the month of March 2021. The university will conduct an entrance exam as JNUEE also known as JNU Admission exam. It is a Univeristy level entrance exam which is organized to offer admission in the various fields of law, engineering, science, humanities, etc. Candidates seeking admission into biotechnology programmes will have to give JNU CEEB examination. The admission into UG & PG programmes will be on the basis of entrance exam known as JNUEE. Here we are providing details as exam dates, application form, its fee, and much more regarding JNU Admission 2021.

JNU Admission 2021 Exam Dates

Candidates must go through following table regarding JNU Exam Dates:

JNU Admission 2021 Application Form

Candidates must go through following details regarding JNU Application Form:

  • JNU Admission 2021 application form will be made available via online mode.
  • Candidates will be able to fill the application form in the month of March 2021.
  • The last date to submit the application form will be the last week of March 2021.
  • During registration, candidates must also upload passport size photograph & signature in the prescribed format.
  • Candidates must also provide valid/ working email ID & phone number in the application form for further use.
  • Authority will also provide correction facility in the application form. It will be allowed only in some particulars.
  • At last candidates must also take printout of filled in application form for further use.

Application Fee:

  • Candidates will be able to submit the application fee via online as well as offline mode.
  • Online mode of payment includes credit card, debit card.
  • For offline mode, bank challan method will be used.

JNU Admission Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must go through following details regarding JNU Admission 2021 Eligibility Criteria:

General:

  • Nationality: Indian & Foreign national category candidates will be eligible to apply for JNU.
  • Age Criteria: He/ She must be atleast 17 years in age to apply for JNU. There will be no age limit to apply for examination.

UG Course:

For B.A (Hons.) 1styear:

  • Qualification: Candidates must qualify 12th level examination from any recognized board or university to be eligible for the examination.
  • Percentage: He/ She must score minimum 45% marks in the qualifying exam to be eligible for the examination.
  • Appearing: Candidates appearing in intermediate in year 2021 will be also eligible to apply for JNU.

For B.A (Hons.) 2ndyear:

  • Qualification: Candidates must qualify 1styear of bachelor’s degree or its equivalent from any recognized board or university.
  • Percentage: He/ She must score minimum 45% marks in the qualifying exam to be eligible for the examination.
  • Proficiency: Candidates must have adequate proficiency in the concerned language.

PG course:

For MCA programme:

  • Qualification: Candidates must qualify 12th or bachelor’s degree (B.Tech/ BCA) from a recognized board or university.
  • Mandatory subject: Candidates must have Mathematics as their mandatory subject to be eligible.
  • Percentage: He/ she must score minimum 55% marks in the qualifying examination.

For MA programme:

  • Qualification: Candidates must qualify Bachelor’s degree in any stream under the pattern of 10+2+3.
  • Percentage: He/ she must score atleast 55% marks in the qualifying exam.

For M.Tech (Statistical Computing):

  • Qualification: Candidates must have master’s degree or engineering (in any branch) OR MCA from any recognized board or university.
  • Mandatory subject: Candidates must qualify master’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, operational research or in any other science branch.
  • Percentage: He/ she must score at least 55% marks in the qualifying exam.

JNU Admission 2021 Exam Pattern

Candidates must check following points regarding JNU Exam Pattern:

For B.A (Hons.) 1styear (Foreign Language):

  • Exam Mode: The examination will be held in online (computer based) mode.
  • Questions Type: There will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) in the question paper.
  • Language medium: Questions will be asked in English medium language.

For B.A (Hons.) 2nd year (Foreign Language):

  • Questions Type: Questions will be asked in Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) type pattern.
  • Language medium: The question paper will be in respective foreign language.

For MA (Economics) programme:

  • Questions Type: The questions will be asked in Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ).
  • Parts: There will be two parts as Part A & Part B.

For M.Tech (Statistical computing) & (Computer science & technology):

  • Questions Type: The questions will be asked in Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ).
  • No. of Questions: There will be total 100 questions in the question paper.
  • Marking Scheme: Each correct answer will consist of 1 mark.
  • Negative marking: 0.25 marks will get deduct for each incorrect answer.

JNU Admission 2021 Syllabus

JNU Syllabus will vary as per the course chosen by the applicants. For admission into UG course, candidates must study from class 11th& 12th. For PG course, candidates must study from graduation.

JNU Admission 2021 Admit Card

JNU Admission Admit Card will be made available via online mode. It will get released in the third week of April 2021. To download admit card, candidates must also enter application number & password. No candidate will receive any admit card via post or courier.

It will be mandatory for all candidates to carry hall ticket at the examination center. Without admit card no candidate will be allowed to sit for the examination. Along with admit card, candidate must also carry valid ID proof (Aadhar card, Driving license, etc.)

JNU 2021 Answer Key

After commencement of examination, board will release JNU Answer Key. It will contain correct answer of all the questions asked in the question paper. With the help of answer key, candidates will be able to assume their marks even before the result declaration.

Answer key will be made available via online mode. Candidates will have to use their login credentials to check their answer key.

JNU Admission 2021 Result

Candidates will be able to check JNU Result via online mode. It will get release via online mode for all programmes. Candidates will have to use their application number & Date of Birth (D.O.B) to check their result.

It will get published in the month of June 2021. Result will contain all the details like candidates name, roll number, marks scored in each subject, total marks, percentage, and result status (pass or fail). After qualifying the test, candidates will have to register themselves for further admission process.

JNU Admission 2021 Cut-off

The cut-off will be the minimum marks candidates have to score to qualify the examination. JNU 2021 cut-off will get released via online mode. Cut-off will be released separately for various programmes & various categories.

Cut-off depends on various factors like no. of appeared candidates, marks scored, difficulty level of exam, previous year cut-off trend & much more. Candidates who will reach the cut-off criteria will further have to participate in the counselling process.

JNU Admission 2021 Counselling

JNU Counselling will be organized in the month of July 2021. Candidates will get selected on the basis of merit list. Students who will get short listed in the merit list will have to register for admission.

Candidates will have to bring their original & photo- stated documents at the time of counselling for verification & submission respectively. It will be mandatory for all qualified candidates to participate in the counselling process. Admission will be given to candidates after the process of counselling.
