Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test is monitored by the Anna University, Chennai on the behalf of the Government of Tamil Nadu. It is a state level entrance exam for providing admission into M.Tech/M.E./M.Plan/M.Arch/MBA/MCA and the lateral entry of MCA degree courses. TANCET Counselling 2020
Candidates, those who will qualify TANCET 2020 exam will have to appear in the counselling process to get admission into Anna University, Government, private and Self-financing Colleges in Tamil Nadu. The counselling procedure will take place after the declaration of the result. It will be started from July 2020 for the courses.
The admission will be based on the marks secured by the candidates in the examination. The complete schedule of counselling and rank list will be displayed on the website on due date and time.
TANCET 2020 cut off will be released for various government and non-government colleges in the state by the university. Candidates those will obtain higher than the cut off marks will be given preference and they will be considered as qualified candidates.

The procedure for seeking admission to MBA, MCA and M.E./M.Tech./M.Arch./M.Plan. Degree programmes for the academic year 2020-2021 consists of the following two steps:
- Appearing for the Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) 2020 in the month of May 2020.
- Applying for admission to the admitting authorities concerned.

For getting admissions, candidates must appear in the TANCET 2020 entrance examination and applying for admissions on the website. For taking part in the counselling procedure, candidates will have to score the minimum qualifying exam prescribed by the authority in the entrance exam.
Candidates will have to enter the email Id and password to login on the university website where they can start the opting course and colleges. Candidates must download the ‘Intimation of Counselling’ (call letter) from the website. Candidates will have to reach for the verification of documents before two hours of the starting of counseling schedule.
TANCET Counselling Process 2020
The seats will be allocated through the counselling procedure. On the basis of the performance of candidates in the entrance examination, the seats will be allotted to the candidates. The rank secured by the candidate will be display on the website along with the result. Candidates will have to attend the counselling with original documents.
After allotment of seats, candidates will have to pay the fee. After submitting the original documents in the institution where candidate wants to get admission, candidates will be provided with the letter from HOD of that institution. Without attending the counselling no candidate will be allowed to get admission.
TANCET Admission 2020
Candidates those score the marks above or equal to the qualifying cut-off marks will be called for the counselling. Candidates will get admission in the offered courses after completing all admissions related formalities. After the seat allocation process, candidates will be able to report to the allotted college/institution on due date and time. Candidates will have to submit the original documents to the allotted college with the submission of the admission fee.
