JEST 2020 Application Form has been released on 11th November 2019. Joint entrance screening test (JEST) is a national level entrance examination.  It is conducted to offer admission in Ph.D. / integrated Ph.D. in Physics or theoretical computer science or neuroscience or computational biology. This examination is conducted by the Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB). Candidates can fill application form through online mode. Candidates can go through the details regarding JEST 2020 application form from the given section:

• The application form will be available through online mode.
• Candidates can fill their application form from 11th November 2019.
• Fill all the details like education and personal details correctly in the application form.
• Incomplete or incorrect application form will be rejected.
• Candidates should have to upload passport size photograph and signature in the prescribed format.
• The last date of application submission is till 14th December 2019.
• Candidates are advised to take a printout of the application form for further admission procedures.

Application Fee:

• The application fees can be paid through online mode using debit card, credit card or net banking. No other mode will be accepted.
• Fee is waived for female applicants belonging to SC/ST category.

JEST 2020 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates can check the JEST 2020 Eligibility criteria before filling the application form:

Ph.D. Programmes (Physics):

• Qualification: Candidates must pass M.Sc. in Physics. Some institutes accept B.Tech, B.E., M.Tech, M.Tech in Applied Physics and Mathematics degrees.

Theoretical Computer Science at IMSc:

• Qualification: Candidates must pass M.E., M.Sc. or M.Tech in computer science.

Ph.D. in Neuroscience at NBRC:

• Qualification: Candidates must pass M.E., M.Sc. or M.Tech in computer science.

Ph.D. in Computational Biology at IMSc:

• Qualification: Candidates must pass M.E., M.Sc., M.Tech and MCA from any recognized university.

Integrated M.Sc. / M.Tech- Ph.D. Programme (Physics):

• Qualification: Candidates must pass B.Sc. Physics/ Mathematics. For IIA candidates must pass B.Sc. Physics/ Mathematics, B.E., B.Tech Instrumentation/ Electrical/ ECE/ Computer Science etc.
• For IISER Pune: Candidates must pass ICTS-TIFR, NCRA, and B.Sc. in Physics, TIFR-TCIS.

Integrated Ph.D. Programme in theoretical Computer Science at IMSc:

• Qualification: Candidates must pass B.E., B.Sc., B.Tech and MCA in computer science or respective stream from any recognized university.
