Karnataka PGCET Counselling 2019

Karnataka PGCET counselling 2019 has been started from the 1st September 2019. The counselling has been organized through offline mode. Candidates need to be present in person at the time of counselling in specified date and time.

The KEA will publish all the details of candidates those selected seats under reserved category for MBA, MCA/M.E./M.Tech/M.Arch courses after the last round of counselling. The seats will be allotted only after the verification of all original documents.

Documents required at Selection Process:

  • PGCET 2019 admission ticket
  • Printout of application form
  • Coy of Challan for having paid the fees
  • SSLC Mark sheet
  • II PUC Marks sheet
  • Study certificate (to show that student has studied minimum period of seven years n Karnataka)
  • Qualifying exam mark sheet
  • Degree certificate/provisional degree certificate/course completion certificate
  • Caste/Caste income certificate
  • 2 recent photograph

Karnataka PGCET Result 2019

Candidates can view their result through online mode. Karnataka PGCET result 2019 can be accessed by entering the application number and date of birth. It has been published by the authority on 22nd August 2019.

The answer key has been published by the exam authority after few days of the completion of the examination. The answer key can be viewed from 3rd August 2019. A separate merit list will be prepared for all courses on the basis of marks secured by the candidates in PGCET exam.

Karnataka PGCET Hall Ticket 2019

The authority has released the admit card through online mode. Karnataka PGCET hall ticket can be accessed from 12th July 2019.

Candidates can use their application number and date of birth to download their admit card. Candidates should keep their admit card till the admission procedure.

Karnataka PGCET Exam Pattern

Here is the exam pattern for all courses offered through PGCET 2019.

  • Mode: The exam will be organized through offline mode.
  • Language: The question paper will be published in English language only.
  • Maximum Marks: The complete paper will be of 100 marks.
  • Duration: 150 minutes will be provided for whole exam.
  • Type of Questions: It will be comprised of Multiple Choice Question.
  • Negative Marking: There will be no negative marking.

Karnataka PGCET 2020

Karnataka PGCET 2020 will be organized by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA). It is a state level examination organized once in a year. Through this examination, students will get admission in full time/part time courses of MBA/ MCA/ ME/ M. Tech/ M. Arch and for second year lateral entry to MCA course.

Karnataka PGCET Syllabus

The authority will prepare the syllabus for the exam as per the subjects mentioned in the exam pattern. The complete syllabus for MBA/MCA/M.Tech/M.Arch will be provided on the official website.

The syllabus will be different or each course. The candidates are advised to go through the complete official syllabus to score well in the exam.

FAQ’s (Most Asked Questions)

Answer: Yes, it is necessary for the applying candidates that they should have their own email Id and mobile number.
Answer: Yes, you can apply but only for seats the surrendered by the management for MBA/MCA courses.
Answer: Reservation is only applicable for Karnataka state candidates.
Answer: No. If you have valid GATE score card, then you don’t have to appear in Karnataka PGCET 2019 but you must fill the application form.
Answer: There is no need of any document to be attached with the online application form.

Karnataka PGCET Application Form 2019

Candidates are advised to fill the application form only if they are eligible for the course in which they are applying.

  • The application forms can be filled and submitted through online mode only.
  • Karnataka PGCET application form 2019 has been started from 30th May 2019.
  • The online application form will be closed till 29th June 2019.
  • Candidates should fill the application form with all care as per the course.
  • Fill application form carefully may be the authority will not provide any correction facility.
  • Candidates have to upload their scanned photograph, signature & Left Hand Thumb Impression (JPEG format).

Application Fee:

  • The application fee for each course will be Rs. 650/- for General and OBC.
  • The fee for SC/ST and category-I of Karnataka state only will be Rs. 500/-.
  • The application fee can be paid through challan deposited in any of the branch of state bank of Mysore.
  • Candidates can also pay the application fee in e-payment post offices.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidates those are applying in Karnataka PGCET 2019 should fulfill the eligibility criteria given below.

General Eligibilities:

  • Candidates of Karnataka and non-Karnataka (only for seats surrendered by the management for (MBA/MCA) can apply.
  • SC/ST/Category-I/OBC is applicable to Karnataka candidates only.
  • Candidates of Karnataka state should have the domicile of Karnataka.
  • Appearing candidates can also apply.

Qualification Criteria:

For MBA:

  • Qualifying Exam: Candidates should have Bachelor’s degree of minimum of 3 year duration or equivalent examination.
  • Minimum Marks: Must pass with minimum of 50% mark (45% marks in Q.E. in case of SC, ST and Category-I of Karnataka candidates).

For MCA:

  • Qualifying Exam: Candidates must pass the UG or equivalent examination with BCA, B.Sc (IT/Computer Science) from a recognized university.
  • Subjects: Candidates should have Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Computer Application, Computer Programming, Business Mathematics and Business Statistics as one of the optional subjects in the qualifying exam.
  • Minimum Marks: Candidates should have obtained 50% marks. 45% marks for SC, ST and OBC candidates of Karnataka state.

For MCA Lateral Entry:

  • Qualifying Exam: Candidates have to qualify bachelor degree in BCA, B.Sc (IT/Computer Science) from a recognized university.
  • Subjects: Mathematics and Business Statistics are one of the optional subjects.
  • Minimum Marks: Candidates should have obtained 50% marks. 45% marks for SC, ST and OBC candidates of Karnataka state.

For M.E/M.Tech/M.Arch:

  • Qualifying Exam: Candidates should have clear equivalent examination in any discipline from a recognized university.
  • GATE Score: A candidate must have the valid Gate score.
  • Minimum Marks: Candidates should have obtained 50% marks. 45% marks for SC, ST and OBC candidates of Karnataka state.
