B.Tech Admission 2019 in Kolkata has been started by WBJEEB through WBJEE 2019 Scores.
Admission Procedure
In Kolkata city, the admissions in four years of B.Tech courses will be done through national level entrance examination and state level entrance exam.
Candidates with higher rank in the entrance test will be given preference in allotting the seats in engineering courses. To get seats in the colleges, it is necessary to participate in the counselling procedure.
Entrance Exams
JEE Main is the national level entrance test on the basis of which candidates can get admission to B.Tech programme. NTA is the exam conducting authority of JEE Main 2019.
Candidates can also appear in the state level entrance exam, i.e. WBJEE 2019 (West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination) for admissions in engineering programmes.
For admissions in IITs, candidates have to pass both JEE Main and JEE Advanced entrance exams. Through GATE 2019 entrance examination, candidates can get admission in the PG courses of engineering (M.Tech).

- The minimum marks in 12th class are 45% (40% marks for reserved category candidates).

Selection Procedure

The candidates those will be shortlisted on the basis of entrance test called for counselling process. At the time of counselling, candidates have to fill their choices for the colleges and stream.
Candidates will get seats on the basis of rank, seat availability and choices filled by them. After seat allotment, Candidates need to report to the assigned college for the completion of further admission process.
