DASA 2019: Application, Exam Dates, Eligibility, Merit list, Admission

DASA logoDASA 2019 Notification has been released. (Direct Admissions of Students Abroad) is conducted under the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. This year it is conducting by the National Institute of Karnataka, Surathkal, Mangalore. Through this entrance exam, the admissions will be offered in NITs, IIEST, IIITs, SPAs, Central Universities and Other Centrally Funded & Premier Technical Institutions. DASA Application Form 2019

Candidates are advised to must fill the application form carefully and accurately. Go through the details given below to get information about application form.

  • The application form can be filled through online mode only. No other mode will be made available.
  • The DASA application form 2019 will be started from second week of April 2019 for UG courses and third week of April 2019 for PG courses.
  • Candidates have to upload the scanned photograph, signature and required documents on application portal.
  • Candidates have to fill the preference of participating institutions/courses at the time of filling application form.
  • Candidates can fill the application form till the second week of June for UG and third week of June 2019 for PG courses.
  • Candidates can edit the application form only before the final submission of application form.
  • Candidates are suggested to keep the printout of filled-in application form till the admission process gets over.

Application Fee:

The application fee has to be submitted through E-payment (credit/debit card) and SWIFT transfer. The registration fee is non-refundable. The application fee is given below:

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates should satisfy the eligibility criteria given below in order to appear in DASA 2019.

Nationality: Foreign Nationals/Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs)/Non-Resident Indians (NRIs)/Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) can apply.

UG Courses:

  • Age: Candidate should born on or after October 01, 1994.
  • Qualifying Exam: The candidates pass 10+2 or equivalent exam with any board recognized by the Association of Indian Universities.
  • Subjects: Mathematics, Physics and one of the subjects from (Chemistry, Bio-technology, Computer Science, Biology) in 11th or 12th standards.
  • Minimum Marks: Candidates must have the minimum of 60% aggregate marks (average of all subjects taken together) or 6.50 CGPA (on a 10 point scale) or equivalent in the qualifying examination.
  • SAT Score: It is compulsory to have total valid score of 1800 in SAT Subject Tests (Subjects: Mathematics Level 2, Physics and Chemistry). The scores have to be sent directly through college board to MNNIT Allahabad.
  • Appearing Candidates: Such candidates can also apply.

For PG Courses:

  • Age Limit: No maximum age limit to apply.
  • Qualifying Exam: Candidate should have 4-5 years of degree in UG programme in Engineering/ Technology or equivalent in relevant discipline for M.Tech./M.Arch./M.Plan./M.Des./MURP. Any UG degree for MBA recognized as equivalent by the AIU/UGC/AICTE.
  • Minimum Marks: Candidates should score minimum 60% aggregate marks (average of all subjects taken together) or 6.50 CGPA (on a 10 point scale) or equivalent in the qualifying exam.
  • Score Card:
    • M.Tech./M.Arch./M.Plan./M.Des: One should have a valid minimum total of 300 GRE Revised General Test Score (Verbal + Quantitative) (GRE General test taken on or after August 01, 2013).
    • MBA: Minimum of 480 GMAT Test Score for MBA.
  • Appearing Candidates: Final year/semester studying candidates can also apply.

DASA Merit List 2019

After receiving the applications from the eligible candidates, the authority will prepare the separate merit list. A merit list will be prepared for each course. The rank will be allotted to the candidates as per the marks secured by the candidates in the qualifying exam and the preference filled by the candidates. In case of two candidates will secure same marks, an inter-se-merit will be prepared by the authority.

The selection of the candidates based on the SAT or GRE/GMAT score received by the MNNIT Allahabad. Only those candidates will be selected for further counselling rounds, those submitted their respective score on time.

DASA Selection Procedure 2019

The candidates those are shortlisted in the merit list can appear for the counselling and seat allotment procedure. The counselling will be conducted through online mode. The counselling schedule will be published on the website after the declaration of merit list.

The seat allotment will be done on the basis of SAT for UG courses and GRE/GMAT for PG courses. The seats will be allotted to the candidates in participating institutions as per the choices filled by them at the time of application. The seat allotment list will be released after each round of counselling.

The counselling will be done in various rounds according to the availability of seats. Candidates can accept the seat or file for seat upgradation as per their choices. Candidates can participate in the various rounds of seat allotment if not satisfied with previous one. After the seat allotment, candidates can report the allotted institution for admission.

DASA Admission 2019

Candidates have to download the provisional admission letter from the official website. The candidates those allotted with the provisional admission can report to the allotted institution for the final admission. Candidates have to carry their original documents to verify at the time of admission at the institution. Without having offer letter, no candidate will be given seat.

The few seats are reserved based on the candidate’s nationality. Candidates have to submit the admission fee at the time of taking final admission. Candidates have to go through medical fitness exam after the provisional admission. The final admission will be offered after completing all admission formalities.
