Given below are some important points related to TIET 2019 application form:
- Candidates will have to fill the application form to get admission.
- Thapar University 2019 Application Form is available for MBA course and for other courses will be available from the month of February or March 2019.
- The application form will be provided through online mode.
- Firstly, candidates have to create their account to fill the application.
- Fill all the necessary details in the application like personal, communication, educational, etc.
- Last date to submit the application form will be different for each course.
- Candidates must take printout of the application for further use.
Application Fee:
- Candidates can pay application fee either by online or offline mode.
- Application fee will be Rs 1500/- for BE/B.Tech/M.Tech,MCA/ME and Ph.D courses and Rs. 1000/- for M.Sc/M.A/MBA programme.
- The application fee is non-refundable.
- In online mode, candidate can pay the application fee through credit/debit card & net banking.
- Through offline mode, candidate can pay through Demand Draft in favor of Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology and payable at Patiala.

Eligibility Criteria
Here we have given the eligibility criteria for various courses offered by Thapar University:
B.Tech:
- Qualifying Exam: Candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with minimum 60% marks (55% for SC/ST candidates).
- Subjects: Candidates should have Physics, Mathematics and any one subject out of Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology and Technical Vocational subject.
- Entrance Exam: Candidate must has secured at least 72 aggregate marks (54 marks for SC/ST candidates) in JEE Main 2019.
B.Tech Biotechnology:
- Qualifying Exam: Candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with minimum 60% marks (55% for SC/ST candidates).
- Subjects: In 10+2, candidates must have Physics, Mathematics and Biology subjects.
- Entrance Exam: Candidate must has secured at least 20% aggregate marks (15% for SC/ST candidates) in NEET-2019.
M.Tech:
- Entrance Exam: Admission in ME & M.Tech programs will be based on the valid GATE score in respective discipline.
- Qualifying Exam: Candidates must hold a B.Tech/BE or equivalent degree in the relevant field with minimum 60% (55% for SC/ST candidates) aggregate marks.
MCA:
- Qualifying Exam: Candidates having bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 year duration in any discipline form recognized University with minimum 60% marks (55% for SC/ST candidates).
- Subjects: Mathematics must be studied at 10+2 or at graduation level.

Here we are providing some simple steps to fill the Thapar University 2019 application form:
- Visit the official website link (link will be provided above).
- Click on “Apply Now” link in homepage.
- Enter details like First Name, Last Name, Mobile Number, Email ID, Programme Type and Programme Applied for.
- Make sure that mobile number and email address is valid.
- Click on “Create new account”.
- A unique “Username” and “Password” will be received on the registered Email ID &mobile number.
- Change password or Edit contact details, if required.
- Fill in personal, qualifying exam & communication details.
- Enter programme details and fill 5 mandatory programmes.
- Upload scanned image of photograph, signature, parent’s signature and score card (if applicable).
- Pay the application fee through offline or online mode.
- After submitting the application, take printout of it for further use.
