IISER 2019 eligibility criteriaIISER 2019 Eligibility Criteria has been released. Candidates those wish to take admission need to fulfill IISER 2019 eligibility criteria. IISER exam is conducted for admission to BS-MS degree program at one of the seven IISERs. Candidates can get admission in IISER through JEE Main, KVPY and SCB channel. Candidates can apply for admission through any of the three options, but they need to fulfill the eligibility criteria for each channel individually. Given below is the detail description related to IISER eligibility criteria 2019.

IISER 2019 Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for IISER 2019 depend on the channel of admission (KVPY, JEE, SCB). Below we have given the eligibility criteria in detail.

Nationality: All candidates of Indian national and candidates belonging to Person of Indian Origin (PIO) or Overseas Citizenship of India (OCI) are eligible to apply.

KVPY Channel:

The candidates those having a valid KVPY fellowship score card commencing from 2019-20 academic session are eligible to apply for admission.

The additional cut-off criteria may also be applicable.

JEE Channel:

Candidates those belongs to general category will have to secure a rank within 10000 in the Common Rank List (CRL) of JEE Advanced 2019.

The candidates those belongs to reserved category (OBC-NCL, SC, ST and PWD) their category rank should be within 10000 to be eligible for the IISER admission.

SCB Channel:

Candidates are eligible those have passed 10+2 with science stream in 2018 or 2019 with marks equal or above the cut off percentage in their respective boards.

There is a 5% relaxation for candidates belonging to NCL of OBCNC and PD categories.

The cut-off marks for the candidates belonging to SC, ST and Kashmiri Migrants (KM) is 55% in their 10+2 level for all boards.

Candidates those wish to apply through SCB channel have to appear for IISER Aptitude Test which will be conducted at various centers across the country.

Candidates are instructed to carefully check the IISER 2019 eligibility criteria in order to appear in the entrance test. If any candidate will find ineligible on a later stage their admission will be cancelled on the spot.
