KVPY Selection Procedure 2018 will consist of two stages i.e. an aptitude test and an interview. KVPY is a national level fellowship programme which is funded by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. To get shortlisted for the KVYP scholarship, students need to qualify both the stages of KVPY selection procedure. KVPY Selection Procedure 2018
Candidates whose KVPY application form will be accepted called for the first stage of selection process i.e. for aptitude test. The aptitude test was held on 4th November 2018 in online mode. It has been conducted in various cities across the country. The question paper was in English as well as in the Hindi language. The question paper is of MCQ type and divided into 2 parts. The questions has been asked from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology subjects. The aptitude test is same for Stream SA, SB and SX.
Candidates those qualify the aptitude test will be called further for the interview. At the time of the interview, candidate’s knowledge of science and research field are monitored. After the conduct of interview, the list of final selected or not selected candidates will be released.
For the award of KVPY scholarship, candidate’s overall performance in aptitude test and interview will be considered. The interview round will be organized from third week of January to February 2019. Students are informed about their interview dates, time and venue shortly by email / KVPY website.

Documents Required
Candidates should bring the given documents at the time of interviews along with call letter:
- Application form and Interview call letter.
- Attested copy of Marks card. (10th Marks card for Stream SA/SX and 12th Marks card for Stream SB)
- Caste certificate for SC/ST candidates issued by the Competent Authority.
- Medical certificate from competent authority in case of physically and visually challenged students in the prescribed format (As per GOI)
- A Self-Appraisal form.
- Study certificate form. (to be obtained from your Principal/Head of the Institution where you are currently pursuing your studies)
- Teacher Recommendation Form (in Sealed envelope) & Letter to teacher.
NOTE: Candidates must bring all the above-mentioned documents along with them when they come for interview otherwise they will not be allowed to attend the interview.
