DNB CET 2019DNB CET 2019 entrance exam will be conducted twice in a year. The authority of National Board of Examination (NBE) organizes the national entrance test of DNB CET. DNB CET is conducted to offer admission into DNB post graduate courses. The candidates can seek admission in the post DNB/MD/MS Super Specialty courses. DNB CET 2019 Important Dates

Below, we have provided the tentative schedule of DNB CET 2019 for both sessions.

For January 2019 session:

DNB CET 2019 Application Form

Candidates are advised to go through the information brochure carefully before filling up the application form.

  • The DNB CET application form will be made available twice that is in the month of December 2018 and July 2019 for different sessions.
  • The application form of DNB CET 2019 can be applied by the candidates through online mode only.
  • If in case the application form is found incomplete, the authority will cancel the form and no further request will be entertained.
  • Candidates will be offered to choose the exam center city as per the availability of city centers.
  • After the submission of test center, candidates will not be allowed to change it. Furthermore, correction in certain details will be allowed only till the last date of form submission.
  • Candidates should also keep the printout of the application form till the admission process gets over.

Application fee:

The application fee can be paid by the candidates through online mode by debit/credit card or net banking. The non-refundable fee of DNB CET 2019 application form will be Rs. 4500/-.

Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criterion of DNB CET 2019 is given below. Candidates must check the criteria before applying for the entrance test:

  • Nationality: Candidate applying for the entrance test must be Indian national.
  • Registration: Candidate must be registered with the State Medical council/Medical Council of India and must have proof of it.
  • Qualifying Exam: Candidates must have MBBS/MBBS provisional pass certificate approved by Medical Council of India.
  • Appearing Candidates: Candidates those are in hold of their PG medical degrees/provisional pass certificate by 31st August 2019 can apply.
  • Training: Candidate must have completed his/her three years of rotatory training by 31st August 2019.

DNB CET 2019 Exam Pattern

The DNB CET 2019 exam pattern has been provided below. Candidates must go through it before starting the preparation:

  • Exam Mode: DNB CET 2019 examination will be held in online (CBT)
  • Type of Questions: The question paper will consist of multiple choice questions. The question paper of all medical super specialties, all surgical super specialties, and all pediatric super specialties will be common.
  • Medium Language: The language of the paper will be in English
  • Number of Questions: Candidates will be asked total of 180 multiple choice questions from each section.
  • Time Duration: Candidates will be given the time duration of 3 hours 30 minutes to complete each section.
  • Marking Scheme: For each correct response, 4 marks will be awarded. For every wrong response, 25% negative marking will be done.

DNB CET 2019 Syllabus

The syllabus of DNB CET 2019 will contain the topics from the subjects prescribed by the authority of Medical Council of India with the prior consideration of the Governmen of India. The question paper will comprise of Part A and Part B sections.

Part A will cover questions from the subjects of Anatomy, Biochemistry, Physiology, Pathology, Pharmacology, Microbiology, Ophthalmology, and Forensic Medicine.

Part B will contain topics from ENT, general medicine, Statistical and Biomedical Research SPM, general surgery, dermatology & STD, Anesthesiology, Orthopedics, radiology, paediatrics, obstetrics and Gynaecology, psychiatry.

Preparation Tips

Candidates can follow the given below tips to prepare for DNB CET 2019 entrance test:

  • Candidates must focus more on the weaker
  • Candidates must make a proper timetable to study.
  • Before starting the preparation, students must review the exam pattern and syllabus.
  • Revision must be done regularly by the students in each studied topics.
  • Students must solve the previous year’s question papers and sample papers to know the type of questions coming in the exam.
  • Candidate must take care of their eating and sleeping habits during exam preparation.

DNB CET 2019 Admit Card

The DNB CET 2019 admit card will be released online mode. Candidates can download their admit card by entering details of Username and password.

The admit card of DNB CET 2019 is expected to be released in the month of January for January session.

For July session, the admit card will be released in the third week of June 2019. Candidates must keep the photocopy of it till the admission.

DNB CET 2019 Result

The DNB CET 2019 result for January session is expected to be declared in the third week of January 2019. The result of July session will be declared in the third week of July 2019.

Candidates can obtain their result from the official website through online mode.

The results can be checked by the candidates by entering their applicant testing id and date of birth.

In order to be eligible for admission, candidates must obtain the minimum qualifying marks.

DNB CET 2019 Counselling

The authority of NBE will organize a centralized counselling for the shortlisted candidates.

Candidates participating in the counseling rounds must qualify the entrance test and eligibility criteria for seat allocation as per the merit basis.

Candidates participating in the DNB CET counselling round also have to pay the counselling fee of Rs.2500/-.

  • MBBS Degree certificate
  • 10th & 12th marksheet and pass certificate
