Through this exam, candidates can get admission in various disciplines of engineering offered by the university. It is a university level examination. UPESEAT 2019 Application Form
The university will release the UPESEAT application form 2019 through online as well as offline mode. Candidates are advised to fill application form carefully.
- The candidates can fill their application form from the second week of October 2018 to till the third week of April 2019.
- Candidates have to fill the personal and academic details, upload the scanned image of photograph in the application form and provide the valid mobile number & email Id.
- An application number will be generated after the submission of application form which should be secured by the candidate for further logins.
- Candidates can get the offline application form along with the prospectus by sending a demand draft in favour of “UPES Fee Account”, payable at New Delhi/Dehradun along with request letter.
- Candidates can collect the offline application form by making the Cash payment in admission counters at Chandigarh/Delhi/Dehradun/ Kolkata/Mumbai.
Application Fee:
- The application fee will be Rs. 1850/- for DD/Online mode and Rs. 1750/- in cash.
- The DD should be drawn in favor of UPES Fee Account”, payable at New Delhi/Dehradun.
- The online payment can be done through Credit card/Debit card /Net Banking.
Admission Criteria
The admission will offered in the engineering seats on the following basis:
- On the basis of UPESEAT 2019 score (80% seats)
- JEE Main score (10% seats)
- Board Merit (10% seats)
Eligibility Criteria
Here, candidates can check the eligibility criteria to get admission in UPES through various modes.
For UPESEAT Exam:
- Age Criteria: The candidates those date of birth falls on or after October 1, 1997 are eligible to apply for admission.
- Qualifying Exam: Candidates must passed 10th or 12th class with minimum of 60% marks.
- Subjects: Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics are necessary in class 12th.
For Non-Examination Pathway:
For Board Merit
- Qualifying Exam: Candidates should pass the 10th and 10+2 with minimum of 80% marks.
- Subjects: Candidate should obtained minimum of 80% marks aggregate in PCM (Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics) at 10+2.
For JEE main Merit
- Qualifying Exam: Higher & Senior Secondary level with 60% marks.
- Subjects: Minimum 60% aggregate in PCM (Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics) in 12th class.
For Uttarakhand State Board
- Qualifying Exam: Applying candidate must pass the Higher & Senior Secondary from a recognized board.
- Subjects: Minimum 80% aggregate in PCM (Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics) in 12th class in UK State Board.
- Candidate should be ranked within 150 in Uttarakhand State Board.
UPESEAT Exam Pattern

- Mode: The exam will be conducted through both (offline and online) mode.
- Duration of Exam: Maximum of 3 hours will be allotted for complete exam.
- Number of Questions: 200 questions will be asked.
- Type of Questions: The questions will be of objective type.
- Marking Scheme: 1 mark will be awarded for the correct answer.
- Negative Marking: There is no provision of negative marking.

UPESEAT Syllabus
UPSEAT question paper will be prepared from the Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, English Language Comprehension & Current Affairs Awareness. However, candidates can refer their 11th and 12th class text books.

- As it is a 12th level entrance exam, so, having good commands on basics will lead to achieve considerable marks in th exam.

FAQ’s (Most Asked Questions)
UPESEAT 2019 Admit Card
The candidates those will successfully submitted their application form on time will be able to download their admit card. The UPESEAT 2019 admit card will be uploaded on the website in the fourth week of April 2019.
The downloaded admit card with photograph affixed (duly attested) in the space provided will have to be produced at the allotted exam center. Candidates without having the admit card or without the photograph pasted on it will not be permitted to take the test.
UPESEAT Result 2019
The result will be declared in the last week of May 2019. Candidates can check their result by entering the application number and date of birth. The result will not be send to any candidate individually.
UPESEAT answer key will also be released by the university after completion of the exam. The university will release the merit list on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in the exam and JEE Main or board merit. The candidates will be called for the counselling on basis of their ranks.
UPESEAT 2019 Counselling
Candidates will be shortlisted for the counselling rounds on the basis of their result. The UPESEAT counselling 2019 will be conducted through online mode on different dates. The counselling will be held on various rounds. Candidates have to first register on the university website for participating in the counselling.
The counselling for board merit candidates will be conducted in the third week of June 2019 and second week of June 2019 for Non-Exam JEE Main Merit & Non-Exam Board Merit for B.Tech course. After that, UPESEAT entrance exam counselling will be conducted in the fourth week of June 2019.
