Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research (JIPMER) conducts the JIPMER Nursing entrance exam. It is organized for providing admission to nursing courses. JIPMER Nursing Result
JIPMER Nursing 2018 Result has been displayed On 6th July 2018.
It is also be checked through the website. Students can download their rank card from the website on 11th July 2018.
The result will not be send individually to any students through offline mode.
JIPMER Nursing Counselling 2018
JIPMER Nursing Counselling will be started from 17th July 2018 (PwD-OPH-Medical Board) & 18th July 2018 (UR/OBC/SC/ST & Puducherry-UR/OBC/SC/ST). Counselling will be done on the basis of rank obtained by the candidates in entrance exam.
Biometric finger print and image verifications of the candidate will be done on the day of counseling. If there is a mismatch, the candidate will NOT be permitted to attend the counseling. After getting seats, students are required to report to the allotted college for the completion of admission formalities.
Documents Required at the time of Counselling:
- Original Hall ticket with the sign and seal of the centre Representative/Invigilator.
- Rank Letter.
- Proof of Date of Birth (Birth Certificate or X Std. Certificate).
- Pass Certificate of the qualifying examination.
- Statement of marks of the qualifying examination.
- Character and Conduct Certificate from the Head of the Institute last studied.
- Residence Certificate issued by Revenue Authority not below the rank of Tahsildar.
- In case of Other Backward Classes/ Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe, a Community Certificate, recently obtained from the competent authority – a Revenue Officer not below the rank of Tahsildar.
- Other Backward Classes (OBC) candidates should produce the required certificate as per the format.
- Schedule Caste/Schedule Tribe (SC/ST) candidates should produce the required certificate as per the format.
- Transfer Certificate from the Head of the Institution last studied.
- Migration Certificate.
- In case of Puducherry residents, the Residence Certificate / Employer Certificate.
- Medical Certificate in case of OPH Candidate.
- Six Passport size colour photographs recently taken.
JIPMER Nursing Application Form 2018
Students applying for the JIPMER Nursing 2018 must read the prospectus first.
- JIPMER Nursing 2018 application form is available on the website through online mode.
- At the time of filling the application form, candidates are asked to upload the scanned photograph (taken on or after 31st January 2018), signature & category certificate (if applicable) in specified format.
- Black & White/ Polaroid photographs are not acceptable.
- The dimension should be 30mm width x 45mm Height (photograph) & 80mm Width X 35mm Height (signature).
- The size should be 10 KB to 80 KB for both images.
- NO change in the category/age/name/DOB (Date of Birth) will be entertained after submission of application. The candidates in such case have to apply afresh before the closing date.
- Applicant can opt only for THREE EXAM CITIES at the time of registration.
- Students are advised to keep the printout of completed application form for your references.
Application Fee:
- The application fee can be submitted through only Net banking/Credit Card/Debit card.
- Once the application fee is paid, it will not be refunded back.
- OPH students are exempted from paying the application fee.

Eligibility Criteria
Students can check here the eligibility criteria for the entrance examination:
- Nationality: A student must be an Indian National.
- Age Criteria: Student must complete the 17 years of age as on 31st December 2018.
For B.SC Nursing:
- Qualifying Exam: Passed Higher/Senior Secondary Examination or the Indian School Certificate Examination which is equivalent to 10+2 Higher/Senior Secondary Examination.
- Subjects: Candidates must passed the 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany and Zoology) with English as a compulsory subject.
- Minimum Marks: Student must pass all the subjects individually and obtain 50% marks taken together in PCB. For reserved category, the requisite marks is 40% marks and for OPH candidates, the marks should be 45%.
- Appearing Candidates: Appearing candidates can also apply.
- Candidates who are studying/have studied Medical Laboratory Assistant in the Vocational Stream will not be considered for B.Sc. (Nursing) course.
JIPMER Nursing Admit Card
Students can download the JIPMER Nursing 2018 Admit card from the website.
That can be downloaded from 14th June to 30th June 2018. Admit card will not be sent to any students by post.
Admit card include the student’s roll no., allotted city centre, photograph & signature, student’s name and date of birth.
Admit card is mandatory for appearing exam, counselling/admission procedure.
Candidates should carry ONLY Hall Ticket along with Valid Identity proof and photocopy of the same ID proof inside the hall.
JIPMER Nursing Exam Pattern 2018
The exam pattern details are given below:
- Exam Mode: The examination will be held through online mode only.
- Type of Questions: There will be Multiple Choice type questions in the exam.
- Maximum Questions: Total 100 questions will be asked in the exam.
- Exam Medium: The question paper will be published in English medium only.
- Duration of Exam: The examination will be One and a half hour long.
- Marking Scheme: 1 mark will be given for each correct response.
- Negative Marking: There is no negative marking scheme in the examination.
- Subjects: Subjects included in the exam are Physics (20), Chemistry (20), Biology (40), Logical & Quantitative Reasoning (10) and English Language & Comprehension (10).
Syllabus
The questions for JIPMER B.Sc Course Entrance Examination 2018 will be based on the syllabus as prescribed by State Board Hr. Sec. and CBSE for XI & XII Standards.

The examination will be conducted in the following cities:
