How to Download Answer Key
Following below are the steps through which candidates can download the NEST 2020 answer key.
- Visit the official website of NEST 2020 (link will be given above).
- Go through the login window.
- Enter your login credentials and submit it.
- Search and select answer key for your subject and set number.
- On clicking on it answer key will be displayed on screen in PDF format.
- Download the answer key and match your answer to estimate the score.
Challenging NEST 2020 Answer Key
If candidate find any discrepancy in the answer key related to question asked or answer they can challenge it. If any candidates wish to challenge the answer they will have to send email to nestkey@niser.ac.in.
Candidate will have to comment about only one question in single Email. If candidate have multiple objections, they will have to send separate email for each question.
The subject line of the Email must contain question ID and section (general/biology/chemistry/mathematics/physics). No other attachments will be allowed. Last date for submitting the objection will be October 2020.
NEST 2020 Result
The result of NEST 2020 will be declared in October 2020. The result will be available in online mode.
Candidates will have to login the portal by entering user ID and password to check the result. If candidate will clear the cutoff marks for each subject in the NEST 2020 result will show qualified for NEST 2020 counseling.
On the basis of marks obtained by the candidate separate merit list will be prepared for providing admission to qualified candidates.
NEST Tie Breaking Criteria
If in case two or more candidates score equal marks in the NEST exam, the authority will follow tie breaking policy to break it. Rank will be given as per following rule.
- Candidate having higher marks in general section will be awarded higher rank.
- If tie still persist, candidate having higher marks in the subject section will be awarded higher rank.
- If tie still persists, candidates will be awarded same provisional rank during NEST result declaration. During admission/counseling round tie will be broken by comparing 12th marks and their DOB.
