GATE CCMT 2020 Special Round-2 Result has been declared on 7th September 2020. GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) is a national level examination. This examination is conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. Through this exam, students will get admissions in various PG courses offered by IITs, NITs and many other institutions. GATE Counselling 2020 Procedure is managed by the CCMT (Centralized Counselling for M.Tech. /M.Arch/M.Plan. admissions). CCMT is an online admission procedure for all NITs (National Institutes of Technologies) & and several other centrally funded institutions. These institutions are IIIT Allahabad, IIITM Gwalior, IIITDM Kancheepuram, SLIET Longowal, NIFFT Ranchi, PDPM IIITDM Jabalpur, SPA Vijayawada, Central University of Rajasthan, and Institute of Technology & IIEST Shibpur.
The counselling registration has been started from 3rd June 2020. It is organized on the basis of GATE score. Candidates must have a valid GATE 2018/2019/2020 score card. GATE 2020 Counselling will be held in three rounds through online mode.

For seat allotment, candidates will first have to register for the GATE CCMT counselling 2020. During counselling registration, candidates have to fill choices of courses/colleges according to their preferences.
On the basis of the rank, filled choices & availability of seats, the seat has been allotted to the candidates.
After seat allotment, candidates will have to submit seat acceptance fee & confirm their seat. Candidates will have to report at the reporting center & verify their documents. Then, candidates will have to report at the allotted college & pay the admission fee.
GATE 2021
GATE 2021 will be organised by IIT Bombay. The registration process will start from August/ September 2020. The complete application process will be in online mode. The exam will be conducted in the month of February 2021 through online CBT mode. GATE is organized every year to offer admission to the eligible candidates in various post graduate (M.Sc/ M.Tech) programmes.

GATE 2020 CCMT Counselling Process
The GATE Counselling 2020 procedure has been comprised of three rounds that will be as mentioned below:
Step-1: Online Registration, Choice Filling and Locking of Choices:
In this step, candidates will have to register themselves in the CCMT website and pay the registration fees.
The fee can be paid through online mode by using SBI MOPS (i.e. Net Banking/ Credit Card/Debit Card or through e-Challan).
The registration fee is Rs. 2200 (Rs. 1700 for SC/ST/PwD). After fee payment, candidates will have to fill their choices of programmes. Candidates are suggested to lock their filled choices during the counselling process.
Candidates must also take assistance of the Help Centers for registration and choice filling.
Step-2: Online Seat Allotment, Seat Acceptance fee deposit and Personal Reporting:
Seats are allotted seats on the basis of choices filled and merit. After seat allotment, candidates will be required to deposit the seat acceptance fees (Rs. 20000) using SBI MOPS (Net banking / credit card/ debit card or through e-Challan).
After that, candidates will have to report personally to the reporting centre as per the given schedule. Candidates will have to produce their original documents for verification at the reporting center.
They will have to submit self-attested photocopy of documents & Seat Acceptance Fee payment proof. After document verification & seat acceptance fee, candidates will be issued a Document Verification Certificate (DVC).
Step-3: Getting Admitted to Allotted Institute:
Students who will be seat allotted will be required to complete the provisional seat confirmation process by paying the seat confirmation fee (Rs. 10000).
Any other balance fee will be paid to the respective allotted college at the time of admission. After the payment of a seat confirmation fee, candidates will be able to download the provisional seat confirmation letter from the website.
After that, students must report to the allotted college with required documents for taking the final admission.
Documents Required for Counselling:
Students will be required to bring the following documents for document verification process during reporting at RC:
- Provisional seat allotment letter.
- Self-Attested Copy of GATE Score Card (2018 or 2019 or 2020)
- Photo ID proof.

Original Birth certificate issued by competent authority/Class X (High School) Board Certificate as proof of date of birth.
- 12th class mark sheet.
- Mark sheet of qualifying examination (all semester).
- Degree/Provisional Certificate
- Category certificate (if applicable).
- Three Passport size colored photograph.
- Seat acceptance fee proof.
- Printout of the Registration form & locked choices.
- Migration Certificate
- Transfer Certificate
- Original Conduct Certificate from the Head of the institution last attended.

Original Course completion certificate from the Head of the University/Institute in case result is awaited.
- One set of self-attested photocopy of all the original documents
