Punjab JET 2020 Counselling Result (1st round) has been released on 24th August 2020. It is conducted for admission to the regular and part time diploma courses in Technical Institutions of Punjab State and Chandigarh. In Punjab JET entrance exam is not conducted for diploma courses. The authority has started web based online counselling registration from 21st July 2020. Candidates have to register for the counselling. The counselling is conducting in three rounds.
It will be organized only through the online mode to exercise the options of courses/colleges. Physical presence of the candidate for the counselling process will not be compulsory.
After choice filling process, the authority will publish seat allotment result on the basis of the merit list, filled choice & availability of seats.
Candidates have to report at the allotted college in a given time along with the documents for confirmation of seats.

Punjab JET 2020 Counselling Procedure
The counselling procedure complete details are given here:
Step 1: Online Registration:
First Candidates have to register for the counselling. Link is provided above. It is necessary to register online for participating in the online counselling. Candidates have to fill all the details given on the registration page.
Step 2: Choice Filling:
After registration, candidates have to fill choices of college & courses according to their preference. All candidates from general, reserved categories & candidates from other states are eligible to participate. Candidates can choose any number of options.
Step 3: Seat Allotment Result:
The counselling result (seat allotment result) will be declared after a few days of the choice filling. Candidates, those who are allotted a seat can print the allotment letter through student login.
They have to deposit the admission fee & report at the allotted college in a given time. Candidates can check seat allotment result by entering their “application number/ roll number”.
Step 4: Reporting at Allotted Institution & Payment of Fee:
Candidates have to report at the allotted institution & submit the admission fee in the given time period as per the counselling schedule. Candidate’s documents will be verified on the day of admission. Candidates have to pay the admission fee to confirm their seat.
State Wise Allocation of Seats
85% seats will be reserved for the candidates who belongs to punjab state & 15% seats will be opened for the candidates belonging from other states.
Candidates, those pass their 10th examination from the schools situated in UT (Chandigarh), they are eligible to get admission under 15% quota in the institution in Punjab state.
Candidates who qualify the 10th exam from Punjab & other state, they can seek admission in the institution located in Chandigarh under 15% quota.
Punjab JET Admission
The admission to all the courses will be made according to the reservation policy of the Government of Punjab and Chandigarh Administration.
Candidates have to produce all the relevant documents in original at the time of admission. Candidates have to report physically at the time of admission at the allocated institution.

Candidates should carry the given documents at the time of admission for verification:
- Mark Sheet & Passing Certificate (Qualifying Examination)
- 10th Class Certificate (Date of Birth)
- Character Certificate
- Domicile Certificate
- Category Certificate
- One recent stamp size photograph
