TNEA 2020 Rank List will be released on 7th September 2020. The rank list will be considered by the participating universities for offering admissions. No entrance exam is organized by the University for offering admissions to the engineering colleges. Anna University is the conducting authority of the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA). The seats will be allotted to the candidates on the basis of class 12th class board exam percentage. Candidates can get admission in the various engineering colleges of Tamil Nadu state. TNEA 2020 Rank List
The rank list will be considered for admission. The TNEA 2020 result will be released on the basis of merit list. The rank list will be released only for the candidates those successfully fill the application form.
The rank list will be prepared after the equalizing process on the basis of candidates 12th class marks. TNEA rank list 2020 will be published on the official website.
TNEA 2020 Counselling will be started from 17th September 2020. Students can participate in the TNEA 2020 counselling process according to their rank.
TNEA ranks for the various category candidates will be prepared on the basis of various factors such that caste categories, reservation criteria, marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and optional subjects (Biology and Computer Sciences).
TNEA Rank Card Date 2020
The university will declare the rank list on 7th September 2020 through online mode only. The counselling will be conducted for the ranked candidates by the university.
The counselling will be organised from 17th September 2020. A random number will also be generated by the university on 21st August 2020.
The University will also send the counselling call letter by post in which the ranks of the candidates will be mentioned.
The seats will be allotted on the basis of ranks in the merit list and choices filled by the candidates.

Candidates can check their ranks in the rank card by following the procedure given below.
- Visit the official website link (link will be given above).
- Click on that link and result page will open on new tab.
- Enter the email ID and password which is generated at the time of registration.
- Click on the ’Login’ button.
- The rank card/rank list will be generated on your computer screen.
- Check your rank in the generated list and download it.
- Take the printout of rank list and keep secure till admission procedure.
TNEA Merit List
A separate merit list will be prepared for offering admissions on the basis of candidate’s 12th standard marks. The higher rank will be given to the candidates those have secured higher marks in their 12th class.
Admission will be strictly provided on the basis of prepared merit list by the university. Counselling process will be conducted separately for the seven categories such as OC, BC, BCM (BC Muslim), MBC & DNC, SC, SCA and ST reservation.
Random Number
The random number is the number which is allotted by the university to each candidate. Basically, it is a number which is allocated to the candidates to attend the counselling. Random number will be provided to the candidates before ranking of the candidates for preparing the merit list.
The random number will be assigned after verification of the application form. After assigning the random number, the merit list will be prepared by the university.
