NIFT 2020 Final Result for M.Des programme has been declared. National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) is a premier institution of Design, Management, and Technology. NIFT 2020 Call Letter for Group Discussion/Personal Interview rounds (PG courses) has been released on after declaration of result. Candidates are able to check it through online mode on the website. The authority publish it in two stages, i.e. for written test & GD/PI rounds.
The result for written test has been declared on 13th March 2020.
On the basis of written test, candidates are shortlisted and called for situation test/GD/PI round. Candidates are able to download their call letter for second stages.
After the second test, the final result has been announced announced by the authority on 25th June 2020. Candidates must take a printout copy of both results & save it for the counselling procedure.
NIFT 2020 Cut Off will be released in the month of June 2020. Cut off marks will be the minimum rank released by the institutions for providing admission. Candidates will be able to check cut off through online mode.
NIFT 2020 Result Date
NIFT 2020 exam was held on 19th January 2020 through offline mode. Candidates are able to view their written test result which get declared on 13th March 2020.
After result announcement, selected candidates have to appear in situation test/group discussion/personal interview rounds as per the courses.
The final result for UG & PG courses has been announced on 25th June 2020. Candidates are able to check it only through online mode.

Students must follow below given step by step procedure to check NIFT result:
- Go to the official link. (Link is given above)
- Click on that link.
- A result page will be opened on the screen.
- Fill any two of the following details, i.e. roll number, date of birth & application number.
- Then, click on “Submit” button.
- The result will appear on the computer screen.
- Check it & download for further process.
- Keep a print copy of it for admission procedure.
NIFT 2020 GD-PI Details
On the basis of result of written test GAT and CAT, shortlisted B.Des candidates are called for second test called Situation Test. For BF Tech. candidates, GAT will be the final test for selection.
Candidates for M.Des will take GAT and CAT. On the basis of the result of GAT and CAT, in the case of M.Des. and GAT in the case of M.F.Tech and MFM, candidates will be called for Group Discussion/Personal Interview (GD/PI).
Group Discussion:
Shortlisted candidates for PG courses from the written test will be required to undergo Case Study based Group Discussions (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) rounds.
GD will comprise approximately 15 to 20 minutes of discussion on a case study assigned, on which a panel of experts will assess the candidates on various parameters including:
- Conceptual clarity.
- Knowledge of the topic assigned.
- Contribution made to the topic.
- Interpersonal skills.
- Ability to generate new ideas.
- Problem solving approach.
- Leadership qualities.
- Effective communication.
Personal Interview:
Candidates will be evaluated on the various parameters as listed below by a panel, in the Personal Interview:
- Career orientation.
- Aptness for the course.
- Overall personal achievements in academics and co-curricular activities.
- Communication.
- General awareness and aptitude, creative and lateral thinking.
NIFT Merit List 2020
After completion of both stages, the authority will prepare a final merit list. NIFT 2020 Merit List will be prepared on the basis of marks secured in Creative Ability Test (CAT), General Ability Test (GAT), Situation Test, Group Discussion, and Personal Interview rounds (as applicable).
The weightage assigned to each test in the final merit list of the examination will be given here:

In case, two candidate’s score equal marks, then older candidate (as per date of birth) will be given preference in the merit list.
