WBJEE 2020 Eligibility Criteria can be checked through the website for various programmes. WBJEE is conducted by WBJEE Board to offer admission into various Engineering & Technology, Pharmacy, Architecture and other programmes in various institutions of West Bengal. Candidates will have to qualify the entrance test to get admission into various programmes offered by various polytechnic institutions of the WB State. WBJEE 2020 Eligibility Criteria
Before applying for WBJEE 2020, candidates must check the given below eligibility criterion for various courses:
- Nationality: Applying candidate must be a citizen of India.
- Age Criterion: Candidate applying for admission must not be less than 17 years as on 31/12/2020. He/she should have been born on or before 31/12/2003. In case of admission into Marine Engineering programme, the age of the candidate must be between 17 to 25 years as on 31/12/2020.
- Appearing Candidates: Candidates appearing in the last year of their qualifying exam will also be eligible to apply.
Engineering Programmes:
- Qualifying Exam: Candidate must have passed his/her 10+2 level exams or its equivalent from a Board recognized by concerned Central or State Government.
- Qualifying subjects: Applying candidate should be passed in the 10+2 level with Mathematics and Physics as compulsory subjects with Biotechnology/Chemistry/ Computer Science/ Biology/Computer application as any one of the optional subject.
- Qualifying Marks: Candidate in his/her 10+2 level should have obtained minimum aggregate of 45% marks (40% for reserved candidates). Also candidate must be passed in English subject with 30% marks.
Pharmacy Programmes:
- Qualifying Exam: Candidate must have passed his/her 10+2 level exams or its equivalent from a Board recognized by concerned Central or State Government.
- Qualifying subjects: Candidate applying for admission into pharmacy programmes should be passed in the 10+2 level with Chemistry and Physics as compulsory subjects with Biotechnology/Mathematics/ Computer Science/ Biology/Computer application as any one of the optional subject.
- Qualifying Marks: Candidate in his/her 10+2 level must have obtained minimum aggregate of 45% marks (40% for reserved candidates).
- Candidate in 10+2 level must be passed in English subject with 30% marks.
Important Details Regarding Eligibility
The Board verifies the candidate’s eligibility at the time of counselling and registration with the University.
In case any candidate who will secure merit rank in the test but will found ineligible during verification process, his/her candidature will be cancelled.
WBJEE 2020 Application Form
The Application form of WBJEE 2020 will be filled by the applicants from 18th October 2019. Candidates will have to fill and submit the application form till 13th November 2019. Candidates must note that the registration process will only be completed after the confirmation page is generated.
Successfully registered candidates will get their admit card from 27th January 2019.
The application fee to be paid by the candidates is Rs. 700 for General candidates and Rs. 500 for SC/ST/OBC- A/OBC-B candidates, plus the Bank’s service charges. The fee will be paid through online mode by debit/credit card or net banking.
