GATE 2020 Registration will be started from 3rd September 2019. Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is conducted to provide admission in post graduate Engineering and Technology programmes. It is a national level examination conducted by the IIT, Delhi. Through this exam, admission will be offered in many private or government engineering institutions all over the India. Candidates can go through the below instructions to know about GATE 2020 Registration:

• GATE 2020 Registration Form will be available through online mode.
• Candidates have to login GOAP website in order to verify Email ID and mobile number for registration and get login credentials.
• The Application form can be filled from 3rd September 2019.
• Candidates have to fill all the details i.e. personal, address, educational & other details in the registration form.
• Upload a recent passport size photograph and signature in the prescribed format.
• Candidates will be provided correction facility by authority from the last week of September 2019.
• Candidates can fill their registration form till 1st October 2019.
• There will be no need to send any hard copy of the registration form by post to the authority.
• The GATE 2020 Application Correction window will open in the fourth week of November 2019.
• Do not forget to take printout of the application form for further admission procedures.

Mode of Payment: The Registration fee can be paid through online mode using debit card, credit card or net banking.

• The registration fee will be non-refundable in nature.
• Candidates applying after last date have to pay the application fee + late fee in order to get registered.

GATE 2020 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must fulfill GATE 2020 eligibility criteria before filling the registration form:

B.Tech /B.E. /B. Pharma Courses:

• Qualification: Candidates must have 3 or 4 years Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in Engineering/Technology from any recognized university.
• Appearing: Candidates appearing in their final year can also apply.
• Age Limit: There is no age limit prescribed to apply.

For B.Sc. Research/B.S:

• Qualification: Candidates must possess 4 years Bachelor’s degree in science or Post diploma (4 years) after 12th level.
• Appearing: Candidates appearing in the final year are also eligible to apply.
• Age Limit: There is no age limit prescribed to apply.

For B.Arch:

• Qualification: Candidates possess 5 years Bachelor’s degree in Architecture in order to be eligible.
• Appearing: Candidates pursuing in the final year or completed the degree are eligible.
• Age Limit: There is no age limit prescribed to apply.

For M.Sc. /M.A. / MCA Courses:

• Qualification: Candidates must have passed Master’s degree in any branch (Mathematics/Computer Application/Science) or equivalent from any recognized University or Board.
• Appearing: Candidates those appearing in the final year are also eligible to apply.

For Int. M.E. /M.Tech (Post B.Sc.):

• Qualification: Candidates must possess Post B.Sc Integrated Master’s degree in Engineering/ Technology from any recognized University.
• Appearing: Candidates pursuing final year or completed the degree are also eligible.

For Int. M.E. / M.Tech or Dual Degree (After diploma or 10+2):

• Qualification: Candidates must possess 5 years Integrated Master’s degree or dual degree in Engineering / Technology.
• Appearing: Candidates who are in the last year of their degree course are also eligible.

For Int. M.Sc. / Int. B.S – M.S:

• Qualification: Candidates must have done Integrated M.Sc. or 5 years B.S. /M.S. programme in order to be eligible.
• Degree Status: Candidates pursuing final year or completed the degree are eligible.

For Professional Society Examination Equivalent to B.Tech /B.E / B.Arch:

• Qualification: Candidates must possess B.Tech / B.E / B.Arch. or equivalent examination recognized by UPSC / MHRD / AICTE etc.
• Degree Status: Candidates who have completed section A or equivalent of such professional course are eligible.

How to apply for GATE 2020

• Visit the official portal (link will be mentioned above).
• Register by entering your name, mobile number and email ID.
• Note the enrollment ID which will be sent to your email ID after registration.
• Go through the declaration and then click on the start ‘GATE Application form 2020’.
• Fill all the necessary details i.e. education details or personal details correctly and carefully.
• Upload the scanned required documents like category certificate, caste certificate, photograph, signature, PwD certificate etc.
• The scanned passport size photograph should have 3.5 cm width and 4.5 cm height in the JPEG format. The maximum size should be 480 x 640 pixels and minimum size – 240 × 320 pixels.
• The signature should be uploaded by drawing rectangular box of 2 cm height × 7 cm width on A4 paper. The maximum size of signature should be 160 × 560 pixels and minimum size – 80 × 280 pixels.
• After submitting the documents, candidates have to pay the registration fee. Pay the fee as prescribed for various categories through the payment gateway.
• Now enter the ‘Confirmation’ and submit the form.
• After submission of registration form take printout of the application form for further procedures.
