acetACET 2018 Registration for December session can be done till 10th November 2018. Actuarial Common Entrance Test offers professional courses in Actuaries. ACET 2018 is conducted twice in a year. The IAI (Institute of Actuaries of India) is the statutory body which conducts the ACET entrance exam. It is established under the Actuaries Act 2006 for the conduction of Actuaries courses in India. ACET 2018 Result

ACET Result has been declared through candidate login. The result has been published on 13th July 2018 (June exam). For taking student membership in IAI, ACET result will be valid only for three years from the result declaration date.

ACET Admission Procedure 2018

After qualifying the entrance exam, candidates must register themselves for the “Student Membership” again. Candidates can register on the website by filling the “Student Membership Form”. Candidates can take a printout of the Application cum Payment Confirmation Form. The form will be sent to the, with attested documents in the given address:

ACET 2019

IAI (Institute of Actuaries of India) will conduct the Actuarial Common Entrance Test. ACET is a national level examination organized to offer admission in Actuaries courses offered by various institutions in India. Through ACET, qualified candidates will be admitted as student members of IAI.

FAQ’s (Most Asked Questions)

Answer: It has been started from 20th February 2018 for June exam and 1st week of July 2018 for October exam.

ACET Registration 2018

Candidates can check here the details about how to fill the application form:

  • Registration form is available only through online mode.
  • Online registration for ACET December has been started from 16th August 2018.
  • Candidates are informed to fill the application form before last date, i.e. 10th November 2018.
  • It is mandatory to upload the color passport size photograph (4.5 cm length x 3.5 cm width).
  • Candidates can take a printout and keep that safe for further process.

Registration Fee:

  • The registration fee for the entrance exam is Rs. 3000/- which is includes the cost of one Sample Question Paper, Indicative Solution and Online Exam.
  • Once the registration fee would be paid, it will not be refundable nor that can be considered for the next (2nd) ACET exam.

Eligibility Criteria

Here candidates can check the eligibility criteria:

  • Age: There is no specified age limit.
  • Qualifying Exam: Candidate must pass in Intermediate or equivalent with recognized board.
  • Subject: English is compulsory a one of the subject at 10+2 level at the time of registration.
  • Appearing: Appearing candidates are also eligible to apply.
  • Candidates those studied at higher level education and those working and having qualifications in mathematical subject can also appear for the entrance exam.
  • Graduate, Postgraduate, Engineering students, Management students, Chartered and Cost Accountants, Company Secretaries, degree holders in mathematical and statistical sciences are also eligible to appear in the examination.

ACET Hall Ticket 2018

After 4-15 days of registrations last date, candidates receive an email from ATTEST asking them to select their test center, exam date & time slot for the examination. Candidates after booking the ACET 2018 exam, have to print their Admit card (Hall Ticket) and bring it to the exam centre. It will done on first come first serve basis & no changes will be accepted once the slot booking has been done.

It is necessary to carry a Government issued photo Id proof (Aadhaar card, driving license, passport, voter ID card or PAN card), in original. 12th standard students can carry their 12th class exam hall ticket or school ID card having attached photograph with duly attested in original. Without all these required documents, no candidate will be allowed to appear in the examination.

ACET Exam Pattern

  • Type of Questions: The exam will be of multiple choice questions.
  • Mode of Exam: The exam will be conducted in online mode.
  • Total marks: The whole question paper will be of 100 marks.
  • No. of Questions: There will be total of 70 questions.
  • Negative Marking: There is a procedure of negative marking for each incorrect response.
  • Duration of Exam: The exam will be of 3 hours.

ACET Syllabus

The syllabus of ACET will contain the subjects such as Mathematics, Statistics, Data Interpretation, English and Logical Reasoning. Candidates can study these subjects and the related topics to score well in the examination. The syllabus will include the questions for:

  • Section-I: Mathematics, Statistics and Data Interpretation having 55% of weightage.
  • Section-II: English and Logical Reasoning having 45% of weightage.

Notation and standard functions, Numerical Methods, Algebra, Differentiation, Integration, Vectors & Matrices.

Statistics:

  • Permutations and combinations.
  • Types of data: Statistical diagrams, bar chart, histogram, dot plot, stem-and-leaf, boxplot.
  • Measures of location: mean, median, mode.
  • Measures of spread: range, interquartile range, standard deviation, variance, Skewness.
  • Probabilities: basic rules of probabilities.

Vocabulary: Vocabulary questions test the candidate’s knowledge of the primary meanings of words, secondary shades of meaning, usage, idioms and phrases, antonyms, related words, etc.

Grammar: Grammar-based questions test the candidate’s ability to spot and correct grammatical errors. It should generally test knowledge of high school level grammar and includes areas like subject-verb agreement, use of modifiers, parallel construction, redundancy, phrasal verbs, use of articles, prepositions, etc.

Verbal Reasoning: Verbal reasoning questions are designed to test the candidate’s ability to identify relationships or patterns within groups of words or sentences.
