TISSNET 2019 Exam Pattern
Below we have provided complete exam pattern of TISSNET for admission into various MA, BA and Ph.D Programmes:
For MA Programme
Exam Mode: TISSNET 2019 will be held in online CBT mode.
Type of questions: The question paper will consist of total 100 questions.
Number of questions: The exam paper will contain total of 100 multiple choice questions divided into three sections. Section A will consist of 40 MCQS and Section B & C will have 30 MCQs each.
Time Duration: The time duration of the exam will be of 1 hour 40 minutes.
Subjects: The question paper will contain question from General Knowledge, Logical Reasoning & Maths and English Proficiency.

For B.A Programme (Social Sciences)
Exam Mode: The entrance exam will be held in online mode.
Type and number of questions: The question paper will contain 100 multiple choice questions.
Marks: The question paper will contain two parts – Part A and Part B. Part A will be of 60 marks and Part B will be of 40 marks. Total the exam will be of 100 marks.
Time Duration: The time duration of the exam will be of 1 hour 30 minutes.For Part A the time duration is 60 minutes and for Part B duration is 30 minutes.
Subjects:Part A of the question paper will contain questions from logical and analytical reasoning, social awareness and current affairs. Part B will be written test of English containingdescriptive questions.
TISSNET 2019 Marking Scheme
Below we have discussed the marking scheme of TISSNET 2019:
- The written test for admission into BA and MA Programme will be of total 100 marks.
- For each correct answer, +1 mark will be awarded.
- There will be no negative marking for incorrect questions.
- No marks will be deducted for unattempted questions.
PIT/PI Rounds
Candidates who will successfully clear TISSNET will be eligible to appear for the Interview Rounds. PI and PIT Rounds are expected to be conducted from the last week of February 2019. Based on the performance shown in the entrance test, candidates will be shortlisted for the PIT/PI Rounds.
The PIT/GD Round will be of 50 marks and PI Round will be of 75 marks. On the basis of merit list prepared for each programme, the list of selected candidates will be published on the website.
TISSNET 2019 Selection Process
Candidates who want admission in various MA/BA Programmes in TISS campuses must get selected in written test as well as Interview Rounds. Candidates on the basis of their scores in TISSNET will be shortlisted for PI and PIT Rounds.
The Interview Rounds will be held in offline mode at various campuses of TISS. Candidates must bring their required documents for the verification process. The selection of the candidates will be announced in the last week of April 2019.
