The KEA (Karnataka Examination Authority) organizes this exam for providing admission to students in engineering, pharmacy and other courses offered by various colleges in Karnataka state. KCET Exam Pattern 2019

Here we have mentioned the KCET 2019 Exam Pattern. This includes details about type of questions, weightage, exam mode, etc. The detailed exam pattern is mentioned below:

  • Exam Mode: The KCET exam will be conducted via offline mode (pen and paper based test).
  • Courses: Candidates will get admissions in engineering, technology, pharmacy, ayurveda, homeopathy and other science courses.
  • Subjects: The questions will be asked from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics & Biology subjects. Candidates are required to choose only one from Mathematics & Biology subjects.
  • Type of Question: In this examination, objective type questions will be asked from each subject.
  • Exam Duration: Candidates will have total 80 minutes for each section. The exam will be conducted in different sessions, i.e. morning session (10:30 AM to 11:50 AM) & Afternoon session (2:30 PM to 3:50 PM).
  • Language of Question Paper: The questions will be asked in English language. Students also have an option to choose the Kannada language.
  • Writing Mode: Students can only use black or blue ball point pen to mark their answers.
  • Marking Scheme: One mark will be given for each correct answer.
  • Negative Marking: There will be no negative marking in this exam. In case of more than one answer for each question will be considered as a wrong answer.
  • Additional Exam: Language Test (for Bangalore candidates only) and Agriculture Practical Test (for agriculture aspirants).
