National School of Drama, New Delhi will conduct the NSD 2019 admission process. NSD offers the education & training in the field of Acting, Design, Direction and other related areas. It is an autonomous organization which is run by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India. To get admission, candidates have to pass the Preliminary Test and the Final Workshop. NSD Admission Form 2019
Candidates can read the guidelines given below related to fill the application form.
- NSD application form 2019 can be accessed either offline (NSD Book Shops) or online mode.
- The application form filling process will be started from the third week of March 2019.
- Candidates have to fill the form till the third week of April 2019.
- Candidates have to attach the testimonials, copies of certificates and four recent passport size-photographs, non-returnable, with the application.
- Candidates can also get the application form by sending request for receiving the NSD admission form 2019 along with DD of Rs. 225/- to the address:

Application Fee:
- The application fee will be Rs. 50/- for online mode.
- In case the application fee will be submitted through offline mode, Rs. 150/- will be charged.

Eligibility Criteria
The candidates those will satisfy the eligibility criteria given below will be eligible to fill the application form and further admission.
- Age Limit: The maximum age of the candidate should be 30 years and the minimum age should be 18 years. There is 5 years of age relaxation for the SC/ST candidates.
- Qualifying Exam: Candidates must have the Bachelor’s Degree in any stream from any recognized university/institution in India or Abroad.
- Language: Candidate must know the English & Hindi Language.
- Experience: Candidate must have the experience of working with maximum of six theater productions.
- Three recommendations from theatre Experts and Documentary proof of the theatre experience is also required.
NSD Exam Pattern

- Mode: The written test will be conducted through offline mode.
- Language: The exam will be conducted either in English or in Hindi language according to the language select by the candidate.
- Syllabus: To check the acting skills and aptitude of the candidate, the questions will be related to aptitude and acting skills.
FAQ’s (Most Asked Questions)
NSD Admit Card
NSD admit card will be released by the authority through online mode. It will not be send to the candidates by post. The admit card will be released before one or two weeks of the examination date. Candidates those submitted their application form on time will only get their admit card.
NSD Results 2019
The NSD result will be declared after one week of the examination. In the result, the names of the candidates will be listed those are selected for the further rounds of admission on the basis of marks obtained in the written test.
The result will be announced either through offline or through online mode. Candidates must keep their results till the admission process gets over. The authority will also declare the answer key so that candidates will check the answers marked by them in the test.
NSD Admission 2019 Process
The screening of candidates will be carried out in two stages. The preliminary screening comprises of an audition or practical test, and is conducted in New Delhi and nine other centers. The NSD admission process will be started from the fourth week of June 2019.
Candidates recommended by preliminary Selection Committee will go through a final round of selection in New Delhi, which is in the four to five-day workshop. In this final selection candidates will be called for the interview round.
