DASA 2018: Application, Dates, Eligibility, Syllabus

DASA 2018DASA 2018 Seat Allotment for 4th round has been declared now. Direct Admissions of Students Abroad (DASA 2018) is conducted by the Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology Allahabad, for the year 2018-19. It is conducted under the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. It offers admission in NITs, IIEST, IIITs, SPAs, Central Universities and Other Centrally Funded & Premier Technical Institutes. Through DASA 2018, candidates can get admission in various UG & PG programmes in engineering, architecture design and management courses. Here, we have given the dates for DASA 2018. Candidates can follow the events as per the given dates.

DASA Application Form 2018

Candidates are advised to read the information brochure carefully to fill the application form.

  • The DASA 2018 application can be filled through online mode only.
  • The application form has been started from 10th April 2018 for UG courses and 20th April 2018 for PG courses.
  • Candidates can fill the application form till the 11th June for UG and 22nd June 2018 for PG courses.
  • Candidates have to fill the application form accurately and submit the fee.
  • Candidates also have to upload the scanned photograph, signature and required documents on application portal.
  • At the time of filling application form, candidates have to fill the preference of participating institutions/courses.
  • Candidates can edit the application form only before the submission of it.
  • Keep the printout of filled-in application form till the admission procedure gets over.

Application Fee:

The application fee can be submitted through E-payment (credit or debit card) and SWIFT transfer. Only the registration fee is non-refundable. The total application fee is given below:

Eligibility Criteria

Here, candidates can check the eligibility to appear in DASA 2018 to get admission in UG and PG courses.

Nationality: Foreign Nationals/Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs)/Non-Resident Indians (NRIs)/Overseas Citizen of India (OCI).

For UG Courses:

  • Age: The candidates those born on or after October 01, 1993 are eligible.
  • Qualifying Exam: the candidates should pass 10+2 or any equivalent exam from any system of education as recognized by the Association of Indian Universities.
  • Subjects: One should have Mathematics, Physics and one of the subjects from (Chemistry, Bio-technology, Computer Science, Biology) in 11th or 12th, as applicable in the respective boards.
  • Minimum Marks: Candidates must secure a minimum of at least 60% aggregate marks (average of all subjects taken together) or 6.50 CGPA (on a 10 point scale) or equivalent in the qualifying examination.
  • SAT Score: It is mandatory to score total valid score of 1800 in SAT Subject Tests (Subjects: Mathematics Level 2, Physics and Chemistry). The scores have to be sent directly through college board to MNNIT Allahabad.
  • Appearing Candidates: Such candidates are also eligible to apply.

For PG Courses:

  • Age: No age bar to apply.
  • Qualifying Exam: Candidate must have Four/Five year degree in UG programme in Engineering/ Technology or equivalent in relevant discipline for M.Tech./M.Arch./M.Plan./M.Des./MURP and any UG degree for MBA from education recognized as equivalent by the AIU/UGC/AICTE.
  • Minimum Marks: Candidates should have at least 60% aggregate marks (average of all subjects taken together) or 6.50 CGPA (on a 10 point scale) or equivalent in the qualifying examination.
  • Score Card:
    • B.Tech./M.Arch./M.Plan./M.Des: Applying candidate must have a valid minimum total of 300 GRE Revised General Test Score (Verbal + Quantitative) (GRE General tests taken on or after August 01, 2013).
    • MBA: Minimum of 480 GMAT Test Score for MBA.
  • Appearing Candidates: Such candidates can also apply.

DASA Merit List 2018

On the basis of received applications from the eligible candidates. The authority will prepare the merit list. The merit list will be prepared as per the marks scored by the candidates in the respective said examination and the preference filled by the candidates.

The selection process is purely based on the merit list prepared by the admission authority. The merit list will be prepared for the candidates those SAT or GRE/GMAT score received by the MNNIT Allahabad on given time. In case of same marks, an inter-se-merit will be prepared for seat allocation.

DASA Selection Procedure 2018

The candidates those names are listed in the merit list will be eligible for the counselling and seat allotment. The counselling will be conducted through online mode. The authority will release the seat allotment list after each round of counselling.

The seat allotment will be done on the basis of SAT for UG courses and GRE/GMAT for PG courses. The institutions will be allotted to the candidates as per the choices filled by them at the time of filling application form.

The counselling will be done in various rounds.  After each round of counselling the authority will release the seat allotment list. Candidates can accept the seat or file for upgradation as per their choice. Candidates have to perform all the activities on given date and time.

DASA Admission 2018

The candidates those will be allotted with the provisional admission letter can report to the allotted institution for the admission. Candidates have to verify their original documents at the institution. Without having offer letter, no candidate will be given admission.

There will be some seat reserved for the candidates based on their nationality. Candidates have to submit the admission fee at the time of admission. Candidates have to go through medical fitness exam after the provisional admission. The final admission will be offered after that.
